Stitch Fix, Oh Stitch Fix

my latest stitch fix
The fact that the minute I see the box on my doorstep, it makes me so happy and nervous at the same time should be telling me something, right? I’m talking about my Stitch Fix box...something I look forward to receiving, but once I get it I sit there with the unopened box and wonder, “What’s inside?  Am I going to be happy?  Did they do it yet again?  Is R going to be like, ‘Um, Babe…seriously???’ ”

I can definitely answer the last question with, YES.

So here I was this afternoon, freshly back from a family vacation to Disneyworld, where we celebrated the holiday season with Mickey and his pals.  I wanted to open the box right there and then but I still had so much to do…making sure N’s science fair project was complete, 3 loads of laundry, picking up Sadie from the doggie hotel…OY!

Finally, after everything was tended to, I retired to my office and opened my fix.  (Now I really know why they call it a “fix” – thanks…).

They did well.  Sorry, they did very well.  So annoying, right?  Annoying in a good way – you know what I mean!  And this time it was a different stylist – my usual was on vacay so Patrice took over for her and did a great job.

First off, I love the personal note enclosed.  The outfit idea cards are a great touch as well.  By looking through them, I can pair the pieces with items already in my wardrobe – I am a very visual person.

41Hawthorn Ivy Grid Print Tab-Sleeve Blouse: I don’t think I can have enough of these light weight, comfy blouses (considering I received two in this fix, I think Stitch Fix feels the same way).  Black and white is a big trend this season, and thankfully, from what I’ve seen of the Spring 2015 trends, this shirt will take me into May!  I’d pair this with a pair of black skinnies and flats – not necessarily black flats (shocked?) but a pop of color would look super cool – RED!

Tart Henderson Mixed Stripe Knit Shirt: At first the fact that the stripes did not “meet” in the front bugged me.  Once I tried it on, I forgave that fact and once again appreciated Tart’s style…Tart is a go-to brand for me.  Their fabrics are super soft and they fit nicely.

Just Black Dean Ankle Zip Skinny Jean: At first I was like, “Not another pair of black skinnies”.  I also looked at the size sent and was like, “Patrice is too kind in thinking I could fit into these”.  Well, I did fit into them and I am tossing around keeping them.  Of the black skinnies I own, none of them are ankle length with zippers (well, maybe one pair but they are from Banana and are not denim…).  Should I keep these?

Papermoon Wynn Ikat Print Front Pocket Blouse: Color!  And a nice one at that…it reminds me of the new color for 2015 – Marsala.  The ikat design is simple, which I like.  It fits nicely – it’s the other blouse I spoke about in the 41Hawthorn description.

Market and Spruce Denver Cable Knit Elbow Patch Cardigan: The elbow patches caught my eye…R loves them too.  I like how Patrice noted that I can toss this over the 41Hawthorn blouse and the Just Black skinnies when it gets a bit cooler here.  The sweater is cozy; kind of reminds me of a grandpa’s sweater.  Does that make me want to keep it…hmmmmm.  Maybe.

So out of all of the pieces I recited, which ones do you think I should keep?
