We have been in our new home for 3 days and I can’t even begin to tell you what we have experienced. Well I can, but I will try and make it short and sweet.
Moving day arrives. Of course I couldn’t sleep that night because of everything I had on my mind. The movers arrive – at my NEW home. I had a weird feeling this was going to happen. I had called the movers twice previously to correct their emails showing the error of having me move from my new home to the old one. They said the confusion was because of the new software, and “confirmed” the change. Yeah – my husband was at the new home that morning, letting in some of the subcontractors and called me to inform me that the movers were there. Woman’s intuition?
The truck arrives to the correct address just in time for the downpour to begin. Yep – the rain. Thankfully the crew worked through the rain, and might I say, they were great. About an hour into the move, the team lead informed me that when he first saw the moving paperwork he had questioned his supervisor as to the estimated number of movers, number of trucks AND number of hours. OY. Basically the paperwork underestimated us by 3 team members, 1 truck and oh….6 hours. Nice.
After speaking with our original estimator and expressing my (pissed off) concern, another mover arrived shortly after, with another truck and two other guys a few hours later. To reduce me having to go through this ridic situation mentally again – at 10:30 pm we signed the final paperwork, poured a glass of wine, took a quick shower, and fell asleep.

I love you all
