Vidal Sassoon
Vidal Sassoon was a household name growing up. Mr. Sassoon passed away yesterday in his home at the age of 84. I knew the name because of the line of hair care – “If you don’t look good, we don’t look good.” I didn’t realize the huge impact he made on the world of hair styling!
After opening his first two salons in London and then NY, 20 more followed! He was once paid $5,000 to cut Mia Farrow’s hair for “Rosemary’s Baby”. The new ‘do became her signature – she even mentioned VS as the hair stylist in the movie!
Do you know that it was his mother that turned him onto hair styling when he was 14? She said she had a vision for his future and boy was she right!
