Top 5 Summer Fashion Trends Under $100!

It may only be May, but before you know it Summer will be upon us. The weather will be warmer and I don’t know about you, but I’m psyched to wear some of the trends I’ve been seeing in fashion magazines and online.  The only downfall?  Stocking up on trends can affect your wallet.  Here are my five favorite trends – all with options under $100!

Top 5 Summer Fashion Trends Under $100!

Rompers

I can’t tell you how much I love rompers. They are so comfortable, come in every color and pattern under the sun and are perfect for those warm July days (and the dressier ones are amazing for a night out). Choose from strapless, sleeveless, short sleeve or long – the options are endless.

Wide-leg printed pants

Yet another comfortable trend for the summertime, wide-leg pants are the epitome of comfort. Grab a pair with a cool print and pair it with a solid colored t-shirt or tank top. Put on a pair of flat sandals or fun wedges and you’re set for lunch with a friend or a casual dinner by the beach.

Thin-strap maxi dress

I love maxi dresses. They scream comfort and are very “forgiving” when it comes to their fit. Depending on where you are wearing it to, you can layer it with a cute cardigan and sandals or on its own.

Off-the-shoulder

I just got my first off-the-shoulder top and even though it took me a little getting used to (I was always worried it was going to snap back up my shoulders), I loved the look. What’s great is that this trend isn’t only for tops – there are off-the-shoulder dresses and rompers as well.

Fedoras

Looking to create a fun look with built in sun protection? Fedoras are all the rage now – so feminine with the slightly oversized, flowy rim.

There you have it – 5 of the Summer 2016 trends, all under $100. Which trend do you like best?

I love this! I think I am going to attempt to pull off a romper this summer. I lost 35 pounds over the winter so maybe it’ll look a little better on me now 😉 Thanks for sharing this post! Love these ideas for summer fashion!

    1. Kaycie, you definitely should!! Congratulations on your weight loss – you can celebrate by getting one of those cute rompers!!

I am a little old for rompers, but I love Maxi dresses. The only downfall I have with them is that I am super short and I almost always have to hem them.

    1. You are never too old for rompers, Robin! You could wear one over your swimsuit. I am in the same boat as you with the Maxi dresses. Loft has some cute ones in petite sizes. Otherwise, I add the price of hemming the dress to the ticketed price and determine if it is worth it.

    1. It’s funny that you say that – fashion evolves but at the same time there are some elements of a throwback, right?

  3. I like the sun dress the best. I have never been a big fan of rompers myself, but I know they are hue fly popular! I think the 60’s have come back in style!

    1. Jeannette, the 60’s and 70’s are back! The off-the-shoulder shirts and dresses…the wide leg pants…at first I didn’t know if I’d like these trends but they grew on me (fast)!

    1. I am totally with you on the rompers Shann! They are so comfortable and they are an outfit all in one piece.

  6. Rompers look so cute, however I still haven’t found the one that would look great on me 🙁 I guess I have to keep searching for the perfect one.

    1. Leelo, Look for one that has an elastic waist and that blouses over – I feel those are most complimentary of every body style!

  7. These are some really cute styles. I like that the off-the-shoulder look is gaining some traction.

  8. Fedoras are a great accessory for the Summer. And a great maxi dress is perfect when the weather heats up. I actually need to buy a few more maxi dresses.

    1. Jenn, check out H&M and Forever 21 – I’ve had great luck at both places for maxi dresses that are super affordable!

  9. I love a good maxi dress. They have been my summer staple for several years now. I love that they can be dressed up or down.

  11. I love the idea of a maxi dress I’ve just never worn one myself. I feel like I’d be so uncomfortable but being 8/9 months pregnant this summer I think it may be time to try. These are all awesome.

    1. Jeanine, maxi dresses would be perfect for you then! Look for ones that have an empire waist – you will be so comfy!

  14. I love the come back of all of these neat patterns! Rompers are so cute but they don’t look right on me.

    1. Chantal, I agree with you – the patterns are so cool!

  15. I am 100% here for all of these trends! I think I’m feeling the rompers and off-the-shoulder tops the most. So glad that summer is almost here. Awesome list.

  16. Great round up!! I can’t pick a fave I like them all and their boho vibe.

These are great picks. I have yet to find a romper that fits me well but I do have a jumpsuit on the way to me that I have high hopes for.

  18. I love the printed pants and the off the shoulder shirt. Those two plus the fedora will definitely be on my list.

    1. Kita, great choices! You could pair the printed pants with a cute off the shoulder top and accessorize with a fedora!

  19. Adaleta Avdic says:

Ok, so I have the off the shoulder trend down and no rompers yet. I need to find a fedora and the pants, but it’s definitely good that at least I have one or two of the trends down. I’ll rephrase that, it’s good that I even KNOW of these trends. Although I don’t know if I can rock a fedora 😉 xx

Fedoras and off the shoulder’s are my favorite picks!

    1. I’m with you Ashley! Both trends are so gorgeous!

  23. I love rompers and the off-the-shoulder look!! I find that it’s not easy to find the perfect fitting romper though!

    1. Rompers are a bit hard because the rise seems to vary with each brand…I had to try a few and seem to like the ones with the elastic waist because you can move it around to fit better.

  24. Bonnie @wemake7 says:

    1. Bonnie, they are all over the stores (and online) so I am sure you’ll find the perfect one!
