You know subscription boxes and I go hand in hand, so when I found about Daily Look Elite I had to give it a try!  I signed up for their promotion of three months of free styling and just recently received my first box!

Review Daily Look Elite
Signing up was free and easy.  Similar to Stitch Fix, I completed an online survey of my style likes and dislikes.  I was then assigned to an Elite stylist who hand picks the pieces she feels best match my profile.  Once the box arrives you have 7 business days to try everything on, keep what you like and ship back what you don’t want.  Shipping is free both ways.

When I opened the box I couldn’t believe how many items were inside…8 pieces in total!  Included was a personalized note from my stylist, explaining which pieces looked best with what – I liked that there were full outfits…no need for me to think about what I was going to pair my new items with from my closet!  She did offer ideas of other outfit options, which I appreciate as well.

Overall the clothing was very well-priced and thoughtfully picked out. The mint colored shirt was the first half shirt I have tried on in 20 years and I actually liked myself in it, although I wish it was a different fabric and color.  I tried it on with the high waist skinny jeans and those were exactly what I was looking for – to a T – but they were a size too small.  Darn.

I love the concept of the midi skirt and the fabric was awesome BUT I am petite and looked silly in it.  The light blue button down shirt that was recommended by my stylist to pair with it is a definite closet staple, but I already have one very similar from Banana Republic.

The pajama shirt, when I first pulled it out of the box reminded me exactly of it’s name!  I literally thought to myself as I held it, “This looks like it could be my grandpa’s pajama top.”  I tried it on and it was super comfy and looked a lot better on than I thought.  I paired this, as recommended, with the black jogger pants and it would have made a nice outfit but the pants looked weird on me.

I loved the halter top – the color and the back was awesome (I couldn’t get a good enough picture of it, but take my word for it, it was really cool!).  I would’ve kept that piece but it I couldn’t get it past my shoulders.  In theory it would have been perfect!

I have the SAME exact necklace that was sent to me, so that proves a bit that my stylist was tuned in to my style.

With Daily Look Elite, you don’t get a discount if you buy all of the pieces like Stitch Fix.  BUT you also don’t lose the $20 Stitch Fix styling fee should you not like any of the pieces.  You just send everything back to Daily Look free of charge.

I left explicit notes to my DL stylist and I look forward to my next box which should be arriving the second week in March.

What do you think about my first Daily Look Elite box?

Cute pieces! Are the prices about the same as Stitch Fix?
