Mark Your Calendars! February 3 – Macy’s Culinary Council Event!

Macy's Culinary Council, Chef Anthony Lamas and Ashley Rose Conway

What do you get when you combine Southern cooking with a Latin flair?  The most amazing food, of course!  Chef Anthony Lamas, a multiple James Beard chef nominee and owner of the highly rated restaurant, Seviche, is coming to Macy’s in Aventura for an afternoon of learning. Ashley Rose Conway, author, blogger and stylist, will be pairing up with Chef Anthony, teaching me (and everyone else in attendance, but I totally need this…) how to stock my bar cart.

Chef Anthony Lamas

I can’t wait to hear about Chef’ Lamas’ best kept culinary secrets and techniques he uses to prepare his amazing dishes.  Anthony learned to cook Latin and Mexican dishes from his mother, and was a pioneer of sorts when it came to the true farm-to-table cooking experience as he grew up on a farm.  I’m secretly hoping his makes his famous shrimp and grits, but am sure I will love anything he creates!

Ashley Rose Conway

Growing up with a father who was a bar owner and cocktail recipe developer, Ashley Rose Conway created a career around it!  She writes for Craft and Cocktails, crafts and produces shoots for Oh Happy Day, and contributes to a handful of other notable online publications and sites.  I am super excited to learn how to outfit a bar cart!  I’ve always wanted one and now will I know how to make sure it is amply equipped and looks fabulous.
