4 Things To Keep In Mind When Traveling To The USA From Abroad

When traveling from abroad to the USA, you should keep a few things in mind. The first is that each country has its own laws and regulations for entering another country. In order to enter the United States and have time to remember, there are a few things you have to bear in mind.

Have Your Passport And Visa Ready

The very first thing you’ll need is your passport. This will be checked by the airline before boarding and when you arrive in the United States. Make sure that it’s valid for at least six months after your date of arrival and has enough pages free for stamps – usually, around four blank pages are required.

In addition, you may also need a visa. This is generally only required if you plan on staying in the USA for more than 90 days, but it’s best to check requirements with your local embassy or consulate.

It’s worth noting that both a passport and visa are different documents – even if you have a valid passport, you may not be allowed into the USA without a visa, depending on where you are from.

Get Travel Insurance

No one wants to think about the possibility of something bad happening on their trip, but it’s always a good idea to be prepared. Travel insurance will help protect you in case of an emergency such as loss of luggage, illness, or injury.  If you or a member of your family does get injured on your trip, you may want to get in contact with a personal injury attorney such as Dennis Hernandez to help you build a case and get the proper compensation.

It’s also a good idea to have insurance for your flight. For example, if your flight is canceled or delayed, you may be able to claim back some of the costs.

You can find both travel and flight insurance from various providers – just do your research to make sure you’re getting the best deal for your needs.

Make Sure You Have Enough Cash

In the USA, it’s always a good idea to have some form of cash on hand. Although credit cards are accepted in many places, they’re not as widely used like debit cards – so be prepared for that!

Also, if something happens and your card gets lost or stolen while traveling or even before you leave, having enough cash to cover your expenses will make sure that you can still get around.

It’s worth bearing in mind that some stores may have a minimum amount of payment required on them even if they do accept credit cards – so it’s always best to check ahead!

Review The US Road Rules If Renting A Vehicle

If you plan on renting a vehicle while in the USA, you must be aware of the road rules and how they’re interpreted in the US.

In the USA, cars drive on the right side of the road. This means that you’ll need to be extra careful when crossing a street – in some places, if there aren’t any traffic lights or signs, vehicles will take turns going in order from different intersections.

It’s also worth checking out seatbelt requirements and speed limits before you hit the road. In most states, everyone in the car must wear a seatbelt, and driving over the speed limit can result in fines.

It is advised to keep the number of a car accident lawyer on your phone if you get involved in a car accident, as the legal process in most countries is different.

In conclusion, by following the tips above, you’ll be sure to have a safe and smooth trip when traveling to the USA from abroad! Remember to pack your camera and take lots of pictures as it truly is a special place to visit.

SATURDAYS ARE FOR STELLA ❤️

Oh, hello there 👋 in case you’re new to my feed, this is Stella. She is an almost 3 year old goldendoodle from Stella, NC. No, we didn’t name her Stella because of the city she was born in. That was a complete coincidence!

She goes by many names - Stella, Stelladoodle, Stu Diddy, Stu, and Moose. Don’t ask 😂 (and whether she responds to any of those names is completely up to her.)

She’s finally graduating the puppy stages (I hope), but it is known that if you’re over and
👟you leave your shoes unattended
👜bag open
🧦socks on the floor
🧻towels in reaching distance to her counter surfing
🏃‍♀️🏃🏃‍♂️you’ll be running circles around the house after her. Don’t say I didn’t warn you 😉

Today we celebrated the life of Heather McMechan, someone I am eternally grateful came into my life, and devastated has left this earth. The church was filled with people that loved her - not one person that crossed her path couldn’t NOT love her.

Forever in my heart ❤️
