3 Key Tips For Planning the Perfect Honeymoon

When the time comes and all the planning for your wedding is eventually over, you’ll need to start considering your honeymoon plans. The most traditional honeymoons begin right after your wedding, but in the modern era, time for a honeymoon after your wedding is not always possible.

Let’s chat about 3 key tips when it comes to planning the perfect honeymoon.

planning the perfect honeymoon

It has become a custom for many to go on their honeymoon sometime after the wedding. Whatever you plan or prefer, your honeymoon is by far one of the most exciting times of your and your new spouse’s lives. You will always remember your honeymoon, so make sure it’s planned well and that no hiccups ruin it for you to have a few days for yourself and utilize every second and you can is vital. Let’s look at some essential aspects of planning the perfect honeymoon.

Departure Date

This is a crucial part, considering you and your spouse have to financially prepare for your honeymoon like you did with your wedding. If your honeymoon is directly after your wedding, it will more likely than not be part of your wedding budget. If not, you’ll have to put some money away to ensure you can fully enjoy all that this vacation will have to offer. Planning the perfect honeymoon begins with deciding on a date will mean that you have to book everything for precisely the right time and date, and following this schedule. Don’t miss your flight – whatever you do – this can cause a disaster and extra costs you definitely don’t want.

Where to Stay

After you decide on when you’re leaving, the most critical decision awaits you. You and your spouse will have to decide on the perfect location for this particular time. Make sure to read reviews and book something slightly out of the ordinary – it’s not like you’ll do this every year. If you like luxurious living, spend some time researching and finding out what would best suit your needs.

Your honeymoon calls for something far more memorable than an ordinary annual vacation you take with the family. You can look at some incredible hotel options which offer far more than a regular self-catering facility. Get yourself a hotel that serves you breakfast every morning; hotels with hot tub in room NJ is also an excellent option for an exceptionally romantic honeymoon experience.

Planning the Perfect Honeymoon: Details

Something you don’t want to do while heading to the airport is planning the details, so sort all of this out ahead of time. If you’re going to travel a lot, ensure you book a rental vehicle for your arrival to avoid spending half of your first day at a vehicle rental company. Research nearby restaurants so that you can plan your meals accordingly. If you want to visit any other destinations, make a booking beforehand to avoid disappointment when you’re there. Streamlining your honeymoon is as easy as getting rid of all the detail-planning done before boarding your flights.

These are just some quick tips for you to consider when planning your honeymoon. The last thing you want to do when you arrive is worrying about anything. If you do your research well and know what to expect before you arrive, you’re in for the most fantastic time of your life. Enjoy it because when you start your family, your personal time with your hubby is something of the past!

Today is #LoveYourPetDay too! (I received a "Holiday-A-Day" calendar, could you tell?!)

Some of these holidays are hysterical. Who makes them up?

Quite frankly, I prep all year for this day 😉

Here's a roundup of some of our favorite wines. We tend to lean more toward reds, but there are whites that we enjoy as well!

👵how much she loves her grandkids (both human and furry ones)

We're taking everything day by day, baby steps, staying positive, sending love and prayers her way - I can't wait till she's home and I can get one of those hugs.

We found out about Stella's litter from Higgins' mom! (Our neighbor-turned-adopted-family-member is Higgins' mom)

It's fun to see them play together - they have a lot of the same mannerisms. I wonder if they know they're related?

Every summer for quite a few years, we would fly down to Florida for "Camp Grandma and Grandpa". We'd spend 2 months in Tamarac, FL in a 55+ community, enjoying the sun, pool, shopping, and other grandkids that also visited their grandparents.⁣
⁣
My birthday falls smack in the middle of the summer, so for many years, I would celebrate away from home. My grandparents always made it a very special day for me, complete with a little pool party, presents, and of course cake!⁣

Looking back, I wouldn't trade those summers for anything.
