I love trail mix as a daytime snack and like to try different pre-made brands. One of my favorites is by Trader Joe’s…and of course, there is NO Trader Joe’s here. (I have emailed them a few times…hopefully, they will come through and build on nearby!) That takes me to the reason for this post…I found a trail mix on Skinny Taste, one of my favorite blogs to read, that reminds me of the Trader Joe’s version…YAY! I added some items and took away some…what’s great about trail mix is that you can make it your own very easily.
- unsalted almonds
- unsalted walnuts
- pistachios
- dried apple
- chocolate covered raisins
- craisins
- sunflower seeds
- dried banana chips
You could really add anything that you want to this mix… some people love yogurt covered peanuts or raisins
