How to Add a Little More Variety to Your Garden

If you feel as if your garden space is becoming a little dull and boring, it’s probably time to do something about that. In truth, there are lots of ways to add more variety and new dimensions to your garden. But which of them are going to be best for your space?

We’re going to take a look today at some of the additions you can make if you want your space to feel more varied and alive. So if you don’t know which steps to take next, read on now and find out more.

Find Variety in the Plants and Flowers You Choose

First of all, you should look to achieve a greater degree of variety and variation in the garden. When you have that variety among the plants you’re choosing, everyone will be able to get something out of owning them. Choosing freshly cut flowers is often a good way to add some extra color and visual appeal to an indoor space, so that’s something to keep in mind.

Add Verticality with Climbing Plants

It’s a good idea to think as well about the vertical spaces you have available to you in your garden. When you have a trellis and you plant a climbing plant at its base, you know that sooner or later you’re going to have plants climbing up your walls. This can offer a great visual impact, but it’s something that should make the space feel much greener as well. So it’s something that you might want to consider.

Create Different Spaces for Different Uses

You’ll probably want to make sure that there are different spaces in your garden for different uses. You might want to create one zone that’s all about plants and growing vegetables. But you might want to create another space that’s all about socializing and spending time with friends as you enjoy food. There are all kinds of different spaces you can create, but it’s up to you to clearly define these spaces.

Invest in a Good Bonsai Tree

If you want to do more with your space, you should think about adding different trees as these can lend real character to your garden and a new height dynamic as well. There are so many different options out there, but if you want to add something that won’t take up too much space and will lend plenty in the way of character and aesthetic appeal, you should consider investing in a bonsai tree. You should find your nearest bonsai tree store and pick out the one that most appeals to you.

Incorporate a Range of Seating Options

Having a range of different seating options should help you to make more of the space that’s available to you. If you have a bench in a secluded part of the garden, it might turn out to be great for reading and being alone. But you might also enjoy a space where you can lie down in comfort and make the most of the sun, while also having another space that’s for sitting and dining with friends and family members.

Attract More Wildlife

If you want to make the space feel more connected to nature, you should think about how you can simply rewild a part of the garden. This brings an element of unpredictability and a lack of control. But it means that you can let go and attract more wildlife, which might be precisely what your garden needs. There’s no right or wrong way of doing this, but letting the garden grow and thrive without too much management or external control will probably be what’s best for the space.

Create Some Privacy

Finally, you should consider how you can make the garden feel a little more private. When you have some privacy and you don’t feel as if the garden is overlooked by neighbors, you can enjoy it a little more. That might be just what your garden needs, or at least what part of the space needs. It gives you that little extra space to enjoy the garden in the way you need to enjoy it.

Be sure to make the most of the different ideas discussed above if you want to add a little more variety and intrigue to your garden space. It’s important to consider the different ways in which you can make more of your garden if it’s currently neglected and going to waste. The options above offer you a good place to start.

SATURDAYS ARE FOR STELLA ❤️

Oh, hello there 👋 in case you’re new to my feed, this is Stella. She is an almost 3 year old goldendoodle from Stella, NC. No, we didn’t name her Stella because of the city she was born in. That was a complete coincidence!

She goes by many names - Stella, Stelladoodle, Stu Diddy, Stu, and Moose. Don’t ask 😂 (and whether she responds to any of those names is completely up to her.)

She’s finally graduating the puppy stages (I hope), but it is known that if you’re over and
👟you leave your shoes unattended
👜bag open
🧦socks on the floor
🧻towels in reaching distance to her counter surfing
🏃‍♀️🏃🏃‍♂️you’ll be running circles around the house after her. Don’t say I didn’t warn you 😉

Today we celebrated the life of Heather McMechan, someone I am eternally grateful came into my life, and devastated has left this earth. The church was filled with people that loved her - not one person that crossed her path couldn’t NOT love her.

Forever in my heart ❤️
