  • Creating the perfect birthday party for your child can be difficult, especially when their imagination runs wild and they expect the unachievable. However, themed parties are fairly easy to pull off! Millions of young girls around the world love the idea of being a ballerina, and whether they pursue this hobby, or just like dressing up as one, there’s a good chance your little ray of sunshine will want a ballerina birthday party. Since the pandemic hit, it’s become more difficult than ever to celebrate birthdays for children, especially because they can’t physically see their friends. However, if it’s a ballerina party your child wants, it’s a ballerina party they’ll get! Check out these ideas on how to throw the ultimate ballerina birthday party during lockdown! Hang birthday banners, blow up balloons, have music on in the background, and if you’re in the mood for some crafting, why not hand make some ballerina decorations? If you’ve got the time and resources, you could send a package to the guests so they’ve got their own decorations to hang too. Find her the perfect outfit Every girl (or boy) that dreams of becoming a ballerina one day will need the perfect outfit for their birthday party. You could try your hand at making an outfit, or if you don’t have the time or patience (we get it) then you could buy a pom pom tutu and pair it with some tights and a leotard so they feel like the real deal. If you’re choosing to make the birthday party into a fancy dress party, be sure to give the parents plenty of time to find their children perfect ballerina outfits too! Create gift bags for her guests Arguably the best part of any party is the cake, and since your guests will be attending over video call, giving them cake after the candles have been blown out can be difficult. Instead, why not have some ballerina cupcakes made and send them to each guest before the party so they can enjoy cake together? You could also fill this gift bag with decorations (as mentioned earlier), fun toys, and snacks to enjoy during the party. Brainstorm fun games they can complete over Zoom Party games are another essential part of any party, but since you’re hosting over Zoom, you’ll have to be clever about what kind of activities you could encourage the children to do. Why not encourage them to do their hair and make up like a ballerina and have a contest to see who could be more creative? Or, get the children to perform their best ballerina dance over the camera? Small ideas like this will help keep the children entertained! The past year or so has been hard on children when it comes to celebrating their birthdays.
