And She’s Back!

In the gym that is!  Ever since I was put on the injured list, I haven’t really gone to the gym.  I know, bad Dana.  I did upper body exercises at home, but it wasn’t the same.  Sooooooooo, this Wednesday I went to the gym with Max with the goal of a fabulous “no-impact” workout.

It was GREAT!!

First, we did some basic stretching  and I made sure to do the runner stretch that the doctor told me to do.  Then…here is where the fun began:

We did…….

10 squats with weights

10 dumbbell rows

10 push ups (on knees)

10 leg raises

10  crunches

FIVE TIMES WITHOUT STOPPING!!!!

On the fifth round, we did:

20 squats with weights

20 dumbbell rows but with alternating arms

10 push-ups (Max knows not to push it when it comes to me and push-ups LOL)

20 leg raises

20 crunches (I think…or maybe it was 10???)

THEN….

Sprints on the elliptical!

1:30 regular pace – :30 sprint – 1:30 regular pace – :30 sprint – 1:30 regular pace – :30 sprint – 1:30 regular pace – :30 sprint – 2:00 cool down

Stretch

Pass out  (kidding).  Although it was a bit trying to walk up the three flights of stairs to my office.

I felt GREAT GREAT GREAT after that workout…so excited to get back into the gym!!!
