5 Reasons to Lose Weight

Sometimes life can seem rather unfair; it’s so easy to put weight on, yet so difficult to lose it again. This can mean that when we’re so busy and with so many other things to think about, losing our excess weight is the last thing on our minds, and we simply forget about it, even though it could be causing us discomfort or even pain. It will undoubtedly have a negative impact on our hearts.

Understanding the reasons that we should lose weight can help. This can be the catalyst needed to get started with regular exercise and a healthier diet. Read on to discover some of the many benefits and reasons to lose weight, and begin your healthier lifestyle as soon as you can.

You’ll Feel Better

When you lose weight, you’ll feel better in general, which is one of the main benefits of doing so. You will feel better in your own physical health because your heart and other organs won’t have to work quite so hard to ensure you are completely oxygenated, but you’ll also feel better when it comes to your mental state as well.

Even if you are comfortable with being overweight, there can still be a psychological element to it that is unhealthy. For example, you might not feel confident in public, or you might feel as though you aren’t as good as other, slimmer people. Although this is not true, it can feel that way. Losing weight will help you gain confidence and become the success you want to be.

 You’ll Be More Active

One of the key elements to being fit and healthy is regular exercise, but this can be hard to do when you are overweight. If you persevere, however, and lose the weight, you will find that activities such as going to the gym, swimming, running, or even walking become a lot easier, and that will ensure that you are able to stick to a regular exercise routine.

The more you exercise, the more weight you will lose, and the more weight you lose, the better able you will be to exercise. Therefore, the sooner you get started, the healthier you will be. Plus, activity isn’t just about exercise; it’s about being able to play with your children or take the stairs without being out of breath at the top.

A Better Sex Drive

Losing weight can also increase your sex drive, particularly if you are a woman. Women often feel self-conscious about their weight in bed, worried that their partner will not like what they see. This can mean that sex is less enjoyable because it becomes much more stressful and overthought than it needs to be. Losing weight will give you more confidence and make you happier and less stressed in bed.

It’s not just women who suffer from low self-esteem in the bedroom due to being overweight; men can easily do so too. Something else that happens to men when they are overweight is that they produce less testosterone, meaning their sex drive is lower anyway. Weight loss will increase testosterone production, giving you your libido back. Testosterone replacement therapy, or TRT, could be a great solution if you want quicker results or there is another underlying hormone issue.

Better Sleep

If you are overweight, you might have trouble sleeping; obesity can increase the chances of developing sleep disorders, including sleep apnea and insomnia. However, losing weight can make you sleep better, which means that your day-to-day life will be more productive, and your overall health will be good (your body needs sleep to fight against infection and repair any issues before they make problems for you).

One of the reasons that you will sleep better when you lose weight is that you will have been taking part in more exercise, and this will make you tired and ensure that you not only get to sleep at a reasonable time, but that you stay asleep all night. Another reason is that your body and organs won’t have to be working so hard to keep you functioning, allowing you to rest more thoroughly and sleep more deeply.

Food Tastes Better

There are so many surprising benefits to losing weight, and the fact that your food will taste better when you do so is just one of them. When you are overweight, you will become desensitized to certain tastes, and you might even lose some taste buds, meaning that your food no longer tastes as good.

When you lose weight, this will improve, so although you will be eating less, the food you eat will be much more enjoyable, and you will be able to savor it, which will also help you metabolize it better.

SATURDAYS ARE FOR STELLA ❤️

Oh, hello there 👋 in case you’re new to my feed, this is Stella. She is an almost 3 year old goldendoodle from Stella, NC. No, we didn’t name her Stella because of the city she was born in. That was a complete coincidence!

She goes by many names - Stella, Stelladoodle, Stu Diddy, Stu, and Moose. Don’t ask 😂 (and whether she responds to any of those names is completely up to her.)

She’s finally graduating the puppy stages (I hope), but it is known that if you’re over and
👟you leave your shoes unattended
👜bag open
🧦socks on the floor
🧻towels in reaching distance to her counter surfing
🏃‍♀️🏃🏃‍♂️you’ll be running circles around the house after her. Don’t say I didn’t warn you 😉

Today we celebrated the life of Heather McMechan, someone I am eternally grateful came into my life, and devastated has left this earth. The church was filled with people that loved her - not one person that crossed her path couldn’t NOT love her.

Forever in my heart ❤️
