I didn’t forget about this project! I just have been super busy with work and the kids – you know how it is! We are up to….
Day 6 – Under Beds: It can be scary what you may find underneath the bed. Luckily in the new house we were able to start from scratch, but you don’t even want to know what we found under the boys’ beds. Let’s see…those missing socks – yep, they hide under there. Toys for sure, along with books – so easy to fall in between the bed and the wall into the abyss. The worst – candy wrappers. That would be under my little guy’s bed – he is a closet candy lover. We are not the type of parents that don’t ever let our kids have candy, we just like to enforce moderation. Apparently we were “too moderate” with G, hence the Starburst wrappers that were uncovered during the move. Fast forward to today – under my bed I store my boots in cool plastic boot boxes – neat and clean.

Day 8 – Jewelry Box: I feel that the jewelry box organization techniques are more case-by-case. Do you have mainly costume jewelry or “real”? Do you have room for a piece of furniture in your room to store your pieces? If so, you can get a really nice jewelry wardrobe with drawers and compartments for necklaces, bracelets, rings, etc. Limited on space but need some kind of organization? Here are some cool ideas:
Take some small towel bars and affix them to the back of your closet door. You can then hang your necklaces from the bars themselves, and add baskets to hold your bracelets and other pieces. photo
This is AWESOME! I read about this great DIY jewelry organization project via Southern Revivals. {photo}
