What a delicious day to celebrate! Chocolate chip cookies have been a favorite snack of mine since I was a little girl. To get me to drink milk, my parents told me that I couldn’t have cookies unless they were accompanied by a glass of milk. That is when the love affair started. My favorite at that time was Chips Ahoy in the blue bag. Once they came out with the chewy Chips Ahoy, I was hooked! Throughout both of my pregnancies (until I took the gestational diabetes test, which I failed both times), every evening my husband and I would sit in the family room to watch TV and I would eat a whole row of cookies. With milk of course.
Both of my boys love their cookies and their chocolate chip pancakes that they get every weekend for breakfast. Since I am 1/3 of the way into my food sensitivity diet I cannot celebrate but you can! Here are some wonderful recipes that have our star of the day “chocolate chips” in them.
