This cucumber watermelon spritz is a non-alcoholic version of refreshing summer drink with my two favorite flavors – watermelon and cucumber!
HEALTH BENEFITS OF WATERMELON
Aside from watermelon being one of my most favorite fruit ever, it is filled with great vitamins and antioxidants.
- Watermelon contains the highest amount of lycopene of any other fruit! Lycopene, an antioxidant, is known to help prevent cancer and diabetes.
- The citrulline in watermelon helps to lower blood pressure!
- Beta-cryptoxanthin (say that ten times fast!) is a pigment that aids in protecting your joints from inflammation.
- There is enough vitamin A in one serving of watermelon to aid in eye health.
- Vitamins B6 and C, along with A, help with skin hydration.
HEALTH BENEFITS OF CUCUMBERS
The cucumber’s high percentage of water is known to aid in preventing dehydration, but there are other nutrients and vitamins in this crunchy veggie that are great for your body as well!
- Don’t forget about the electrolytes in cucumber that also help with hydrating!
- Vitamin K and vitamin D are great for bone health
- The included fiber and cucurbitacins may help prevent cancer.
