How many times have you heard me talk about the fact that I need to start exercising and eating healthier? I know it gets annoying and I am apologizing in advance because I am going to talk about it yet AGAIN.
Ever since I found out I was gluten-sensitive, I have been consciously trying to eat healthier, taking gluten OUT of my diet. It has helped me a lot, as my stomach woes have gone to the wayside, my migraines are gone, and the only allergy issues I come across are of the seasonal variety. One thing I have realized is that eating gluten-free food doesn’t necessarily mean that you are going to lose weight. In the beginning I did lose weight because my diet did not include ANY pasta, cookies, bread, etc. As time passed, we found some great gluten-free options in those food areas, BUT I started to gain some weight back. It makes sense – regardless if the pasta has gluten in it, it is still a carb, right?
My back hurting doesn’t help the cause much. I feel like every time I verbalize that I am going to hit the gym, my back starts to ache. I’m not making it up – it’s crazy! I took my Advil this morning and I am moving on.
I am starting a new regimen… I need to walk everyday and hit if not exceed my 10,000 steps. I am going to actually DO the Blogilate videos that I like, and not just watch them or “file them” for later viewing. No more carbs, gluten-free or not – or at least greatly reduce them. I am the only one that can help myself. Right?!?
Who is in this with me? I’m sorry if this was a bit boring of a read for you but I need to make this “public” so I can be held accountable…here we go….
