Wow. That one word sums up the amazingness that I saw while walking through the massive convention halls. The advancements in technology year after year are mind blowing! I’ve been going to CES as a buyer for over 5 years, but this year I played a new role as a Key Online Influencer for the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). Below are some of my favorite finds over the course of 4 days.
BRUSHA BRUSHA BRUSHA
I almost hugged the first gentleman I spoke with about kids’ toothbrushes with apps that help them brush their teeth better. They are all based on the same presence (either an adaptor to place on a standard toothbrush or an integrated toothbrush) – replacing the “boring” routine of brushing teeth with an adventure where they are the pirate or knight trying to kill the dragon. The game actually guides them to brush properly, with rewards (and reports for parents).
Here is the adult version by Philips. I need one – the color alone is gorgeous!
A NEW TAKE ON THE ROOMBA
If I just had enough of a lawn for this! I am a huge LG fan to begin with, and when I saw this robotic lawnmower, I was mesmerized. So smart.
BRINGING BACK MEMORIES
I grew up with a Polaroid camera and I am so amazed by two of their new products. One isn’t so new though. Polaroid Original’s OneStep 2 brings back amazing memories. I can’t wait to see which colors they produce next!
The other super cute and more modern version is the Polaroid Pop. 20.0 MP is hot! It combines the retro style of the original camera with the modern style of zero ink technology and more! I got to paint a human canvas at their booth – so much fun!
INVISIBILE CHAUFFERS
Autonomous driving is the wave of the future – and not too far into the future! We had a VIP tour of the Intel booth and our tour guide, Kristi, explained how our kids could be relaxing while the car brings them to their final destination.
VIRTUAL REALITY
Virtual reality (VI) was around every corner. Virtual reality is becoming the norm for gaming and entertainment in general.
DON’T LOSE FIDO OR KITTY AGAIN
As a huge pet lover, I was interested in learning more about the GPS tracking devices available (and in development) for our furry family members. If you have a dog or cat that likes to be independent and roam the neighborhood, these are the perfect accessory for them. You can easily find them via an app. There may be a monthly subscription fee, but how can you put a price on the safety of your furry friend?
These are just a handful of the products that caught my eye. Stay tuned for in depth product reviews as I collaborate with some of these and other awesome brands! Which of these is your favorite?
Check out my CES recap from 2017 and 2016!

My pleasure!
Joan Cajic says
This is great, I am eager to know more about the kids toothbrushes, my son would love something like that plus it helps the child to brush their teeth perfectly.
Dana says
Exactly! I always wonder if my boys are really brushing their teeth well. The app tells the story!
Amber says
What cool stuff! That lawn mower would come in handy 🙂 But really, our yard isn’t big enough for something like that. I like the GPS for the pets–I have two cats, and I always worry I might lose them.
Dana says
Cats are the first pet I thought of when I saw the GPS device! I had an outdoor cat and always worried about him until he came to the door at the end of the day. Having something like that would totally ease my mind!
Lambam says
This is so educating and helpful as am eager to know much on this . Thankful for this 🙂
Dana says
My pleasure, Lambam!
Amber S. says
What an amazing expo! I can’t wait until I’m invited to attend events like these. The toothbrush is such a great idea! I have a 2 year old, and we’re already building good brushing habits, but I know she would enjoy an interactive brushing experience! (I would too! )
Dana says
Amber, you should totally get the toothbrush for your daughter! Stay tuned for a full review 🙂
Jay Colby says
I’ve always wanted to try virtual reality it seems like a lot of fun. Sounds like a great event with a lot of cool stuff.
Dana says
VR is a lot of fun, Jay! It’s almost eerie how realistic some of the games are.
Ben says
I can always get excited about new tecnology, I don’t know why. These all look amazing. And you’re right, there’s something about the design of this toothbrush!
Dana says
I was drawn to the color of the toothbrush at first LOL, but it is amazing how – with the aide of an app – you can make sure you are properly brushing your teeth!
Sarah Bailey says
Oh my goodness what some amazing looking things, I like the idea of a robot lawn mower, I can’t mow the lawn anymore and so we pay someone to do it, but this could be another way,
Dana says
Exactly, Sarah! The robot lawnmower may save you money in the long run too!
Lydia Samson says
I want a Polaroid! I can’t believe they are bringing back the original, that will be so fun!

Wow, the future is now! Look how far we have come with robotic landmowers- I’m not sure whether I want to sit in a car with no driver, though.
Dana says
You couldn’t have said it any better, Nathan! The future is now and it was very apparent at the show!
georgia boanoro says
Everything is soo, so cool! My absolute favourites are the the app for brushing the teeth and the polaroid…I need one of each!
Dana says
Georgia, those two top my list! The Polaroid cameras are really cool – you have your choice to go “retro” or modern with the same retro feel!
Dee Jackson says

They do have a ton of cool things here at the show. I am impressed by the toothbrush and sensing what you are doing while you brush. But the coolest thing has to be the Roomba time lawn mower. I know my dad would love it.
Dana says
David, that lawnmower was so cool! I loved watching it, thinking of how much it could help people!
emmanuel damian says

Thank you, Emmannuel! You can purchase one of those Polaroids now and relive your childhood!

They do have a huge amount of cool things here at the show. I am dazzled by the toothbrush and detecting what you are doing while you brush. Be that as it may, the coolest thing must be the Roomba time grass trimmer. I realize my father would adore it.
Dana says
The grass trimmer was my all-time show favorite, Jon!
