5 Offbeat Ways To Exercise And Spend Quality Time With The Family This Summer

If you’re already dreading another hot summer filled with humid days and no good places to spend them, you’ll be happy to know that there are plenty of fun ways to stay fit and have a blast at the same time. Some of these might sound a little out of the ordinary, but that’s what makes them so great. They’re offbeat, creative activities that will not only get you sweating but also give your mind an enjoyable workout.

There’s something for everyone on this list, including you and your family.

Go Rollerblading

When you’re a mom, you often have to fit your exercise in alongside entertaining your toddler. So finding things to do with your family can be difficult. But rollerblading is the perfect activity for a hot summer day with loved ones.

You can do it at the park or anywhere with a flat surface, such as a skating rink or a path in the city. It’s a great way to bond with your kids and get a good workout at the same time. Rollerblading is also a great way to relieve stress, so if you’re feeling a little bit on edge as the summer heats up, it’s a great way to get your mind off things.

Yoga In The Park

If you’re a fan of yoga but aren’t too keen on its quietness, why not try the group yoga class in the park? You can bring your friends and family along with you too.

It’s a great way to stay fit, relieve stress and make friends in your area. Plus, it’s a very affordable way to keep fit that can be done anywhere and at any time. You can even try yoga poses at home or in a hotel room if you’re on vacation with your family.

Try Rock Climbing

Rock climbing is a great way to work on your upper body strength and core. It’s a fun sport that you can do both indoors and outdoors. It’s a great way to get your endorphins rising and is a really enjoyable experience for people of all ages.

Whether you’re looking for a new hobby or just want to try something new, rock climbing is perfect. It’s a sport that people of all skill levels can do, so don’t worry if you’re a beginner. If you’re with a group, they will be happy to help you get started.

Take A Hike

There are many hiking trails worldwide, so there is sure to be one near you. Even if you’re not a massive fan of traveling, you can hike on trails near your home. Hiking gets your blood flowing, especially climbing mountains or going on long routes.

It’s excellent for relieving stress and is a really enjoyable experience for all ages. In addition, it’s a great way to bond with your family while exercising. However, be sure to hydrate and bring sunscreen with you no matter where you go hiking. For ideas and inspiration for your next hike, check out Brian McPeek.

Swim In The Ocean

Swimming in the ocean is a great way to stay fit and have fun at the same time. You can swim for as long as you like, and it’s an excellent full-body workout. It’s a great way to relieve stress and is a cheap way to stay healthy and fit.

You can go swimming with friends and family or go by yourself. And you don’t have to go to a fancy swimming pool to enjoy this activity. When you’re done, you can enjoy the beautiful view and warm weather of the beach. The sea is also a great place to go if you are trying to get your family together. Swimming in the ocean is a great activity to do with your family and friends while bonding and having fun at the same time.

SATURDAYS ARE FOR STELLA ❤️

Oh, hello there 👋 in case you’re new to my feed, this is Stella. She is an almost 3 year old goldendoodle from Stella, NC. No, we didn’t name her Stella because of the city she was born in. That was a complete coincidence!

She goes by many names - Stella, Stelladoodle, Stu Diddy, Stu, and Moose. Don’t ask 😂 (and whether she responds to any of those names is completely up to her.)

She’s finally graduating the puppy stages (I hope), but it is known that if you’re over and
👟you leave your shoes unattended
👜bag open
🧦socks on the floor
🧻towels in reaching distance to her counter surfing
🏃‍♀️🏃🏃‍♂️you’ll be running circles around the house after her. Don’t say I didn’t warn you 😉

Today we celebrated the life of Heather McMechan, someone I am eternally grateful came into my life, and devastated has left this earth. The church was filled with people that loved her - not one person that crossed her path couldn’t NOT love her.

Forever in my heart ❤️
