I don’t know about you, but the last place I want to be on Black Friday is in a retail establishment.  I am a huge Cyber Monday fan, so this makes Black Friday even that much more unappealing.  In case you do brave the crowds, here’s what you need to prepare yourself.

I’ve gathered some fun things to do on that day after the big feast.  Whether you have the day off work and don’t know what to do or your kids are home and you don’t want to be cooped up in the house, I think you’ll find one or more of these options enticing!

Holidays bring with them parties and dinners out.  I know that I feel like a million dollars when I get my hair blown out – I am not great with hairstyling.  Blowtox in Palm Beach Gardens is my go-to when it comes to hairstyling.  They also do keratin treatments, color, eyelash application, makeup application, and more!  Maybe you’ll see me there on Black Friday when they are offering 25% off any keratin or color appointment (November 25th through December 2nd).  I love that you can book your appointment quickly and easily online too! My boys love to skate – on a roller rink or ice.  What better place to take the kids on Black Friday than to a facility that offers BOTH!  Palm Beach Skate Zone, located in Lake Worth right off of the Turnpike, is a family-friendly environment with one roller rink and two iceskating rinks!

This Black Friday is going to be super special because it’s going to snow all day on the ice rink!  Now how many times do you get to say that you saw snow in Florida?!  There will be a DJ playing games and holiday music – getting everyone into the holiday spirit.  Did you know that Palm Beach Skate Zone is open 10am – 11pm?  I highly recommend making some time to have some fun there next week!  They also offer gift cards – a great gift idea for the kid (or adult) that has everything.  Follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.  

LET THEM PLAY ALL DAY AT COOL BEANS INDOOR PLAYGROUND!

When you first walk into Cool Beans Play Cafe, you wish you were young enough to play on their indoor playground.  It is filled with a HUGE inflatable slide, trampolines IN the floor, a foam pit, super cool tree house and more!Kids from 6 months to 6 years are welcome to have a blast, and on days that Palm Beach School District doesn’t have school, and other designated days you can even bring a sibling under the age of 10 to join in the fun!

Black Friday is the perfect day to bring the kiddos there for some fun because while you’re there you can take advantage of their insane discount on the monthly unlimited pass – it’s usually $50 but you can get it on Black Friday only for $30!

EXPLORE AND MORE AT THE SOUTH FLORIDA SCIENCE CENTER AND AQUARIUM!

I love museums – especially ones that have aquariums, planetariums and mini golf, like the SOUTH Science Center and Aquarium!  The mini golf course has been recently redesigned by Gary Nicklaus and Jim Fazio and I can’t wait to check it out!  BUT, I have to say what I am really excited to see is their “OUR BODY: THE UNIVERSE WITHIN” exhibit.  It is a fascinating, artful and educational exhibit consisting of actual human bodies and organs. Appropriate for all ages, this exhibit goes “under the skin”, revealing the mysteries of the human anatomy. Don’t miss your chance to see this critically-acclaimed, blockbuster exhibit at the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium between now and April 23^rd, 2017.  I am so looking forward to go as I’ve heard it’s unbelievable!
