Plan your route wisely
If you like the idea of moving to various locations throughout your stay, it would be beneficial for you to plan a set route. You will get a lot more from your trip if you take the time to plan where you want to visit and experiences you may want to try out. It might be beneficial to fly or drive to the destination that is furthest away and create a route that works your way back.
Camping is very popular amongst the local too, so campsites are likely to fill up quickly. Before heading off on your trip, confirm all of your bookings at each campsite along your route. Booking these in advance will also make your trip a lot less stressful. Also remember to take up to date maps and a SatNav with you, so you can find each campsite safely and efficiently. French roads can be difficult to negotiate to, so stay safe and within the speed limit.
Bring the right equipment
Camping requires a lot of equipment and you need to ensure you have everything you need before traveling to France. If you are in a rural area where they don’t speak very good English, it may be difficult to find the specific items you need. Camping here in the summer months can attract mosquitoes, so bring plenty of insect repellent with you. Also check the weather forecast to pack sensible shoes and clothing to protect you from the elements and keep you comfortable.
These three tips should help get you started on your camping holiday plans. Plan in advance to make the most of every second you spend in this fabulous country. This additional effort will make your time here truly wonderful.

This would be so much fun! My grandparents had an RV when I was little, and we used to have SO much fun camping in it. I think that doing something similar in Europe would be another way to experience the culture and really get to know the locals. We’re hoping to do something like this when we go to Ireland in 2016!

Camping with your grandparents sounds like so much fun and what amazing memories you’ve probably made! We went to Ireland a long time ago and I think camping there would be so awesome!
