If you’re a new mom, it can feel almost impossible to get any time to yourself, let alone to spend any time on your appearance, but that doesn’t mean you don’t want to look your best.
Often, when you look good, you feel better and more able to take on any challenge that is thrown at you – and when you’re a new mom there will be many – which is why I’ve put together a list of some of the best time -saving beauty tips for new moms…
Consider more permanent solutions
From tinted lashes to tattooed lips and eyebrows, there are several beauty procedures, that once carried out, will last for ages. So, if you’re in real need of a mommy makeover, but you don’t want to keep having to go back to the salon or surgery regularly, it could be prudent to consider more permanent beauty procedures that will enable you to look great whether or not you put in any effort on any given day.
Invest in combination products
Another thing that will really help you to save time in the beauty department is using combination products. These are beauty products that can be used for more than one thing, so say a blush that can also be used as a lipstick or a cleanser that also clears acne, for example. Using these multi-purpose products will save you time, but also money, which is really important when you have a new little mouth to feed.
Use clear nail polish
If you’re the kind of woman who likes to look immaculate in the nail department, for now, you’re going to want to ditch the fancy manicures and gel nails and simply cut, file, and apply a layer of clear polish. This will take less time initially, and you won’t have to worry about chips or your polish peeling, which will take you some serious time to sort out.
Lips and eyes
When you have a new baby to look after, chances are you don’t have the time to put on a full face of makeup each morning, but if you still want to have that put together look, you can easily achieve it with a quick sweep of eyeliner and a little lipstick )or even better lip stain which should stay put for longer). These two things will give you that put-together look for a fraction of the effort you usually put in.
Roll your hair
If you like a curl but you don’t have time to use that curling wand, wash your hair in the evening, and allow it to air dry, when it is still damp, roll it up either into a bun or individual bunches and when you wake up in the morning, you will have nearly effort-free waves that look just as good as the ones you create with styling products.
New moms have so much on their plates that it is only natural their beauty routines fall by the wayside, but with these time-saving beauty tips, you can look great and be in hand for your baby at the same time!
