My Stitch Fix box was burning a hole in my floor. I received it in the mail on Tuesday and had no time to revel in the contents until this weekend (how terrible is that!)
Finally, Friday night after my son’s karate graduation to green belt (go N!), my parents came back to the house and Mom and I teared open the box. It was like Christmas! I don’t know how the team at Stitch Fix does it. Let me tell you a bit how it works and then I will share my booty with you (booty reference – I saw the movie Pirates: Band of Misfits this weekend and they said booty a lot 🙂
First you sign up online (its free to sign up). Go to the Stitch Fix website – you can click here. You fill out a quick survey – they ask you about your style, what you are looking for, your sizes, etc. When you are ready to schedule your first “fix”, you do pay $20. This $20 will be deducted from whatever you purchase from your fix! (I consider the styling fee a sunk cost…and then when you get your package and see that you have a $20 credit – whoohooo!). You can schedule when you would like your package to arrive, which is a great convenience. This is my third “fix”, and I have not been disappointed yet!
Each piece you receive comes with a style card, showing you how to pair your new piece with your existing wardrobe – super helpful!
Here is what was in my box!
Blu Pepper (formerly Blue Bird) Zooey mixed cardigan – this cardigan is great…something I would have definitely not chosen when shopping in stores or online. That has to be the WORST picture below – but I can’t seem to find it online 🙁 I am wearing this today and it is so comfy!!
Collective Concepts Lisette Vintage Blouse – This has to be my favorite piece in the box! Stitch Fix even blogged on it 🙂 here is the blog post (that is one of the Stitch Fixers below with the blouse on!)
Aryn K Victoria Sheer Sleeveless Blouse – at first I was hesitant about keeping this blouse. But then I tried it on. I tried it with a black halter top as it is sheer…and love it! It isn’t tight, and one of my new resolutions is to stay away from form-fitting. This fits the bill!
Jaloux Eliza Hi-Lo Tank – this was another tank that I was like hmmmmm when I first looked at it. Tried it on…perfecto! Not tight, flowy, very versatile 🙂
Last but not least, The Aryn K Josephine Pleated Maxi Skirt – I love max dresses, and I believe I own a plain black maxi skirt (where is that one?). Anyway, this is definitely a skirt I would not walk over to in a department store. I tried it on and with a super cute simple black tank (form-fitting – with spanx), it is going to be my skirt for Amalia’s baby shower!!
If you purchase all 5 pieces, you will receive 25% off the total price!!! At this point, I have to log into my Stitch Fix account and “tell” them the pieces I want and which ones (if any) I am going to return (free shipping both ways…did I tell you that?).
Which piece is your favorite???
