* I received a free Michael Todd pumpkin mask in exchange for writing this review on my blog. Although this post is sponsored, all opinions are my own.
When I was asked to review one of the many awesome skin care products by Michael Todd, I jumped at the opportunity! The hardest part was picking the product I wanted to test the most. I opted for the pumpkin mask and within days I received the full size product for review. Being a working mom doesn’t allow for me to have too much time to myself for wonderful things such as facials (although I do try to get in one at least every quarter). Last night I was getting ready for date night and thought that I would try out the pumpkin mask while in the shower.
It was super simple to apply – I wet my face and applied an even layer of the product all over, including my neck. The smell was very pungent and refreshing – I love the smell of pumpkin. The texture was smooth with small exfoliating pieces – not super rough or anything. While the mask was working its magic, I shampooed, conditioned, washed, shaved – the usual shower duties.
Once done in the shower, it was perfect timing to wash the mask off. My husband came in, unbeknownst to him what I was doing, and started looking at me weird, commenting that I looked like I was breaking out. Once I told him that the concoction on my face was a mask and not a reaction to anything, he laughed and left me to my business. After washing the mask off my face felt tighter, smooth to the touch and super clean!
A little bit about the product: It’s enzymes from the organic pumpkin and glycolic acids melt away dirt, toxins and dead skin cells clogging up your pores. I felt it! It is doted that a single use can bring up the look of wrinkles and fine lines – I bet its the 5% glycolic acid that does the trick!
I am going to watch to see if there is any peeling in the coming days, as it does mention that on the website, but that wouldn’t bother me; it just means it is working at taking off the dead skin. Here is a short video on the product:
I would recommend this mask, but not for sensitive skin as they also noted on the site. I can see that it may irritate sensitive faces due to the glycolic acid, etc.
