I Love My Weekends!

It is 10:23am and I have already had breakfast, emptied the dishwasher, wrapped gifts for three kids, and ordered movie tickets and dinner reservations!  I love it!  I know you can agree that the weekends go by way too fast, so you have to take the time you have and use it to your best ability!

I work full-time Monday – Friday 9am-6pm, and when I am not at my brick and mortar office I am a mom to two fabulous little gentlemen (when they want to be), a stylist for Stella & Dot (very part-time) and a wife and homemaker.  I come home on the weekdays and the second part of my “job” begins.  I really don’t consider it a job – I’m just being a mama and loving my children – providing for them, hugging them, teaching them…During my lunch breaks, I run errands.  I am at Target at least 2x a week.  I get my nails done (manicure one lunch break, pedicure the next…I only get an hour so I have to split it up).  I also get at least 2 workouts in.  Haircuts – lunch break.  Gift shopping – lunch break.  You name it – whatever I can get done in one hour is squished into my lunch break.

Sooooo…the weekends are priceless to me!  I get to really spend time with the boys, do things around the house and run errands, with maybe a few minutes of relaxation in between.  While the boys are swimming with their dad, I am going to do my workout (a la Max), join them for a quick swim and then clean the house.  Birthday party fun begins at 1, ends at 3 and then we hopefully can sneak a nap in (the boys and me of course!) before we do “Family Movie Night”!  Tomorrow – it starts all over again.

On Monday morning I am always in amazement that the weekend has ended – and how much I have accomplished.
