This gift guide for the wine lover may or may not have been created from my own wish list. 😉
I love wine. First introduced to it on our honeymoon to Italy, and then immersed in it during our anniversary trip to Napa Valley, learning more and more about wine (and enjoying it) has become a hobby of mine.
Below is a collection of gifts perfect for the wine lover on your list. Whether it is just their beverage of choice or they are on their way to becoming a grand sommelier, these picks are perfect!
THE BASIC NECESSITY
Did you know that the particular wine glass you drink out of can affect the taste of the wine? I learned about the importance of pairing wine glass shape to the varietal of wine when I met Michael Mondavi.
I was recently introduced to my favorite wine glass, the Gabriel-Glas (and no, it is not my favorite because it has the same name as my younger son). Created from a lead-free, durable Austrian crystal, each glass is either molded or blown as one piece; seamless with no stress points.
You can pour any varietal of wine into these simple yet elegant glasses and experience the highest quality of flavor of the wine!
The shape of the One-for-All glass allows for wine to flow freely onto the palate with focused, rather than defused, distribution of wine normally created by bulbous-style wine glasses. Gabriel-Glas delivers wine to the palate in a manner that expresses even the most subtle flavors.
The Gabriel-Glas can be purchased in sets of 1, 2, 6, or 24 glasses.
DECANTER THIS
Decanters come in many shapes and sizes. Aside from aiding in aerating the wine, they are the perfect table centerpiece. You can use them as a vase when they aren’t holding your favorite vintage.
Gabriel-Glas has it’s very own decanter. This striking wine decanter from Gabriel-Glas is mouth-blown from lead-free Austrian crystal. The elegant design allows your wine to breathe, highlighting its aromas and flavors, while an ergonomic shape allows for easy, drip-free pouring. It holds between 750 mL – 1,500 mL.
Save 15% on the Alpha Decanter when you purchase it along with any Gabriel-Glas stemware set. Use code ALPHA15 at checkout to receive your discount.
#1 FOR TRAVELING
When we’ve traveled in the past we would have to stop at the local liquor or wine store to pick up wine. At times we would be able to purchase some bottles that we are fond of, but more times than not we were stuck with whatever we could find.
How great would it be to travel with your favorite vintages and not have to worry about searching for the perfect bottle on arrival?
How great would it be to travel to wine country and bring back some prized bottles without having to worry about their safety en route OR waiting for them to be shipped to your home?
Travel in confidence with one of the three VinGardeValise® options, the must-have wine travel accessory that guarantees a safe journey for your favorite wine, beer & spirits. This flexible design features removable inserts designed to make packing easy.
There are three sizes to choose from:
- Piccolo holds 5 bottles ($249.99)
- Petite holes 8 bottles ($299.99)
- Grande holds 12 bottles ($349.99)
The Petite and Grande come in your choice of three different colors – black, silver, and burgundy.
I love the versatility. You can add or remove the inserts to pack what you need – some wine, some clothing; all wine; all clothing – it’s your choice!
HOLIDAY SPECIAL: Purchase the Grande and get a Piccolo FREE! Please use offer code FREESUITCASE. Offer ends 11/30/2020.
ACCESSORIZING IS KEY!
Accessories make the outfit and the wine glass. Wine charms are the perfect addition to any wine glass – especially when you are hosting guests and don’t want to mix up the glasses!
LEARNING IS KEY
I love to read, especially about wine. These books are great for education as well as coffee table decor!

Thank you for sharing your experience. I never drink wine in my life but I like the design of Kate Spade. On the other hand, Decanters looks like experimental bottles that we find in Chemistry Labs lol…

So funny that you said the decanters look like the experiment bottles in science – I can totally see that!

I love to drink wine but I am not really a connoisseur. If I get a bottle I am already happy. That’s the only thing I can drink without adverse side effects. I only get a good cheer. haha So I got two bottles this Christmas and I am sooooo happy! <3
