Welcome to day 8 of my 31 Day Challenge! Let’s talk about working out. Do I work out as much as I wish I could? No. BUT when I work out I like to look good…it makes me feel good and motivated! Workout clothes used to be so ugly. Well, maybe not ugly, but unattractive. There’s a wide variety of workout gear brands out there – from the more expensive (Lululemon) to the more budget-friendly, which I will be showcasing here. Don’t think I didn’t score some Lululemon when I was at the outlet mall last time though!
Every workout outfit begins with a supportive sports bra. One determining factor when choosing a sports bra is your chest size. Here are some below to consider. Click on the image to get more information on each piece:
You can find some great deals on sports bras at Target – I grew up with the Champion brand and it seems to wear well and last! H&M has two very good looking bras to check out…they are the most expensive at $29.95.
Now you need to find a top to go over the sports bra (unless you are brave enough to wear it on its own – to that, I am envious and I salute you!).
In terms of tops, you can opt for a tank top (some even have a built in sports bra), short sleeve top, long sleeve…whatever fits the weather, sport, etc.
Shorts, capris or full length pants are common options for workout bottoms. Depending on the sport, I have seen some cute skirts but when you are at the gy you want to feel as comfortable as possible, so take that into consideration.
Ever hear of Fabletics? For $50/month you pick out of a bevy of outfit options, and within each outfit option are more decisions to make – color, etc! I tried Fabletics out last month and was very pleased with the quality of what I chose (check out the image below). They wash well too, but I recommend as with any workout gear, to air dry.
