Many interesting styles have been introduced for Fall including animal prints, statement headwear, and checks, but my favorite by far is the tweed trend.
My first intro to tweed was the classic Chanel skirt suit. I still want one…there’s something about that polished, put-together look that exudes class.
Some may feel that tweed is stuffy or for the older set, but I disagree. Although usually a heavier fabric not necessarily the norm for South Florida weather, tweed is the coarse wool fabric that is used to traditionally make suits and coats but now can be found as tops, skirts, handbags and more.
Below are my top five favorites in each category.
TOPS
When you first think of tweed, you may envision multicolors, but now you can find solid tweed garments. It’s the fabric that woos me, not necessarily the color!
PANTS
Tweed pants tend to be a bit more formal, so I like to pair them with a simple short sleeve cotton t-shirt or tank. I like that they are showing cropped versions, which makes them a bit more fun!
SKIRTS
Ths skirts that caught my eye range from sleek pencil skirts to super fun minis.
ACCESSORIES
It was so much fun finding so many tweed accessories! Not only did I find super cute handbags, but also found scarves, hats, and belts! Accessorizing with tweed is a perfect way to integrate it into your wardrobe without having to commit.
Do you have anything tweed in your closet? Which of the pieces above caught your eye?
