I used to never really wear jewelry. I mean, I would wear my engagement and wedding ring, a watch, a pair of studs, a small necklace…all things that I didn’t have to take off.
Then…I became a stylist for Stella & Dot. I had to accessorize at this point. How could I sell the jewelry if I didn’t wear it? Then…I realized I like costume jewelry – a lot. I would find a cool necklace at Anthropologie (on sale of course!) and then a bracelet that I HAD to have at Banana Republic. At first I would feel like I was cheating on Stella, but got over that quickly. Then…my good friend Maria started Sweet Fashion Deals on Facebook – a sale every Monday and Thursday at 8pm. You have to support your friends, right???
So now here I am with what I think is a nice collection of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, etc. and no way to really store them in a manner that makes the pieces easy to see and also neat. Especially since we are eventually going to move, I want to have a storage plan for the new house.
Here is a cool idea to showcase and store necklaces, hoop earrings and bracelets that I found in CB2’s site. You can use conventional push pins to hang them from:
{CB2 $45.00}
A less expensive, but equally usable version from The Container Store:
Another great find: use paper towel holders to showcase and store your bracelets. You can get one for your bangles, one for your delicate bracelets…
{Crate and Barrel $19.95}
Place this bowl on your dresser or nightstand as a catch-all for your rings and watch:
{Pier 1 Imports $1.50}
{Pier 1 Imports $1.78}
