Where has September gone?!  Although short-lived, this month has been filled with new product introductions.  Let’s dig in to my September product haul!

SEPTEMBER’S SKINCARE PRODUCT HAUL

MyChelle Hyaluronic Serum, Cream, and Eye Gel

Every time I go for a facial, one of things I hear over and over is that my skin is dry.  I feel the dry tightness too a lot. It could be because of the weather, my love of coffee, my lack of water intake (which has since changed a lot!)…there are a lot of possibilities.  I was introduced to Ultra Hyaluronic Hydrating Cream and have been using it daily over the past 30 days.  The serum, cream, and eye gel are both super lightweight – something I look for in any product.

Paula’s Choice Exfoliant

Another skin situation I deal with is enlarged pores.  I may be the only one that notices it (aside from my esthetician), but know the importance of clean pores, so when I was sent Paula’s Choice Exfoliant to try out.

I like that it includes BHA (Beta hydroxy acid) to aid in cleaning my pores.  You cannot get rid of them, but by using a product like this one, you can lessen their “look” per say.  I use it every other day after I wash my face and apply toner.

CRYSTAL Mineral Deodorant Stone

I know what a lot of you were thinking as you read what this next product is.  I was a bit skeptical myself, but was interested as it is all-natural, dermatology-tested, vegan and cruelty free.  The ONE ingredient is Ammonium Alum (translation – mineral salts).

The CRYSTAL mineral deodorant stone actually does what it touts – the mineral salts create an invisible barrier against any odor-causing bacteria.  I like that there is no fragrance and it doesn’t leave white marks on my clothing like other deodorants do.  I leave the stone in my shower and apply right before I get out.  (It needs to be moistened before applying.)

Belle Chevre Goat Cheese Cream Cheese

I am all about my Sunday morning bagel.  It may sound silly, but I truly look forward to this meal.  It’s the one intentional gluten-rich meal I plan.  Traditionally I prepare my bagel with either whitefish salad (of which I have to highlight in one of these articles – I get it from Costco and it is so good!), or butter.

Vitafusion Organic Women’s and Men’s Multi

I take so many vitamins (vitamin D, biotin, red yeast rice to name a few) so when I received a bottle of each of the Women’s and Men’s organic multivitamins from Vitafusion and at first I was a little like, “More vitamins?!”  BUT…I have been looking for a multi AND these are gummy and organic.

My husband and I have been taking them for the past few weeks, and I have to say that I actually don’t mind taking vitamins anymore.  They taste great – I pretend they are my sweet treat for the day.  This is what really wowed me – they DON’T have:

GMO, high-fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors, FD&C dyes, dairy, nuts, soy, and gluten.

Recipe Books

I went to the doctor for a physical and didn’t get the stellar report that I was hoping.  You know how everyone says that it is harder to lose weight the older you are.  Ahem, I am proof!  My Google searches have been filled with “ways to lose weight”, “healthy ways to lose weight”, “help me please lose weight”.  (Kidding on the last one, but I may have outwardly verbalized it to my laptop the other day.)

When asked if I’d like to review some recipe books, I picked the following three which are in line with what I am trying to accomplish.

I appreciated the simplicity in how The Everything Keto Diet Meal Prep Cookbook explained this fad diet, along with some great to set myself up for success (like meal prepping – something new to me).

Intermittent fasting is another buzz word in the health industry.  I can Google all day to learn about this “not new” topic, but read through Intermittent Fasting Basics and learned essentials as well as starter recipes to lead me toward success!

The “I Love My Air Fryer” Gluten-Free Recipe Book was initially requested as a little jab to my hubby.  I purchased him an air fryer for the holidays last year.  It’s still in a box.  Now he has to take it out and use it!  We have a few recipes slated for next week – all inline with the keto-style of eating we’re trying to accomplish!
