School Supply Lists…

…are a bit out of control!!  I have two boys that will be in elementary school this August.  Our school has already decided on the school supply lists for each grade, which is great – planning ahead!

I received G’s Kindergarten class school supply list and was like, “Wha?”  24 glue sticks?  8 boxes of crayons?  Wow – do they eat these things?

The one for N is a bit shorter…you know, he’s going to be a big-time 2nd grader!!!

I don’t remember requiring this many supplies back in the day.   I used to love to go school supply shopping – new crayons, pencils, binders (remember trapper keepers???).  I am totally dating myself here.

Nowadays they offer this great service…you can order a school supply kit with everything on the list via the internet.  It then gets delivered to the child’s’ classrooms before the first day of school.  How great is that!!!!  There is a bit of a premium cost associated with it, but it alleviates running from store to store trying to find the required purple plastic two-pocket folder and the right color glue stick.  I highly recommend this service!!
