Pellerini’s Favorite Products – May Edition

Every now and then I receive products to review. From hair and skin care products to subscription boxes and cool things for the boys, I put them to the test. If it is a product that I don’t necessarily like, I will contact the provider and explain why I didn’t like it and leave it to them as to if they want me to write my honest review. By the way, all of my reviews are 100% my own opinion! I wouldn’t recommend something that I wouldn’t personally use. That’s just not cool.
Pellerini’s Favorite Products – May Edition
U-Lace
My boys can be lazy at times and to ask them to tie their shoes is like asking them to sever off a limb. It would get to the point where we’d get so frustrated that we’d succumb to tying the darn shoes for them – totally enabling them. I received two pairs of U-laces to check out and I can’t even begin to tell you what a hit they were with my boys (and my husband and I as well)!
It was rather easy to “install” them on my boys’ sneakers. They couldn’t believe that they didn’t have to tie their sneakers ever again and thought U-laces were the coolest thing since sliced bread. The piece de resistance was when their friends came over and asked me if I could get them a pair (of which I kindly told them where their parents could get them) – that was how much they loved them as well!
They come in practically every color of the rainbow and then some. What’s cool is that you get a little paper with each set showing you different ways to put them on the shoes. I am seriously contemplating getting them for my sneakers as my lower back is terrible and to not have to bend down to tie my shoes would be priceless. Pricing starts at $3.99 per packet (enough laces for one shoe).
Peaches and Petals Subscription Box
I love subscription boxes. There’s something about receiving a package at your front door or in your mailbox that contains surprise items. You may know the theme of the box, whether it’s fashion, accessories, food, games…but you don’t know what is tucked inside.
This subscription box, once unveiled, struck me as very universal in that it contained a little bit of everything.
Counterclockwise from the top left, I received:
- Sunny Days Puzzle Book: so cute and perfect for me – I love puzzles!
- Detangler Brush: so needed between me and my older son who doesn’t let me cut his haiBody r!
- Body Wash Sponge: such a cool concept – the body wash is IN the sponge and you can use it up to 8 times! It smells delicious too.
- Rain Cloud Wall Planter: super cute – I think I am going to plant a little cactus in there (I seem to kill everything else).
- Facial Cleansing Brush: I’m super excited for this brush because it has 5 different attachments for different functions.
For $19.99 per month, this box is a total deal. As I mentioned above, I really like how there are a variety of items in the box – not just makeup or just jewelry. Peaches and Petals was super kind to offer Pellerini readers a discount off their first box! Enter PEACH-JUNE50 at checkout! You can also gift a subscription – such a different and fun gift for friends and family!
L’Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara
I have been searching high and low for a new mascara. I have some tried and true ones that I love, but my latest conquest was for a budget-friendly mascara and I finally found one! L’Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara is A-W-E-S-O-M-E. Seriously, I love it! The fibers make my lashes super long and it doesn’t irritate my eyes.
PARIS STREET STYLE COLORING BOOK
I loved coloring when I was little and I think I love it even more as an adult! When I saw this coloring book focused on Paris street style, I had to check it out! The page designs vary from drawings of jewelry, to clothing, to scenery.
SO COZY HAIR PRODUCTS FOR KIDS (AND ME!)
I received a gift box of hair products courtesy of So Cozy for my boys and couldn’t wait to try them out. All products have been very well-received by the boys but their favorite by far is the all-in-one body wash/shampoo/conditioner. (I personally think it’s partly because it’s a no brainer which bottle to pick up but hey – anything to help get these boys to take a shower!) The detangler came at just the right time as my oldest wants to keep his hair long and fights me to comb it because it gets knotted easily. The detangler has really helped unknot his hair and make brushing more tolerable.
One morning I had run out of my usual mousse so I tried So Cozy’s Behave. Aside from the yummy scent, it added volume to my hair and helped keep it in place nicely the entire day!
I look forward to trying out the swim 3in1 and swim leave-in now that pool season is upon us! If you get a moment, please read about the story behind the So Cozy product line – the first ever professional line of hair care products made with the finest ingredients gentle enough for kids. My niece is going to write a review for Pellerini on the Boing line for curly hair so stay tuned (and I wish I had the Boo! line for lice about 2 years ago – I think I may need to stock up just in case…)
I especially like that SoCozy formulas contain no Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates, Formaldehyde, Synthetic Color or Propylene Glycol. They are also free of Gluten, Wheat, Peanuts and Tree Nuts. Check out the site when you get a chance – I think you’ll find something perfect for your little one’s hair needs and be really happy with the quality!
What products have you come across this past month? I’d love to hear about them!
I love those laces. I have been wanting to get a pair for my son. His laces always come untied.
I need that box NOW! I love everything in it, especially the beauty care massager. I’ve been wanting one of those for a while.
Jeni, I love that beauty brush! It’s worth the more than the cost of the box!
I have always wanted to try a subscription box! This one looks awesome!

I love planters so that planter with the cloud is sooo cute. And I love that it’s so unique, too. That facial brush will also come in handy with removing makeup and cleansing the face.
OMG that Paris style coloring book is right up my alley.. I love beautiful things, especially when they are Parisian, and I need some ways to destress and take some time just for me.

So need to try that mascara!!!
Chel, I didn’t know they had a coloring book of swears – it’s probably hysterical! I just ordered the one from Alice in Wonderland. It looks really cool. Now I just have to make time to color.
Oh that coloring book looks like a dream! I might need to request that for my birthday soon! I have never heard of that subscription box but has a few items that I am interested in. I will need to look into it.

Those ULaces are so awesome! I should really get some for my son. I bet these would help him a lot. I am currently addicted to coloring books, LOL. They are so fun!
The ULaces are the BEST – I don’t have to hear myself over and over telling the boys to tie their shoes!
I need to get my son those laces. That would be so helpful. I also love that subscription box. I remember the post you did about it. I’ve been wanting to try that hair product brand too. I keep seeing it at Target.
Shann, they are a life changer. No more bending over every time to tie their laces…no more tripping over untied laces.
I’ll take the shoelaces for my kids and the Paris Street Style coloring book for me. I dream of vacationing in Paris daily.
Kita, Paris is very dreamy! We can live vicariously through the coloring book 🙂
