On one of my many days of perusing all of the groupon-like sites’ emails, I came across this super cute company – Little Passports. Both of my boys love to play with their globes and there is not a morning that goes by without N asking me “What is the capital of so-and-so state?” (which prompts me to google it, embarrassingly enough). I thought that their USA edition would be a fun way for them to learn about the states (and I can brush up on my capitals as well). I also am a big fan of the monthly subscription idea – I love Birchbox and have tried out Beautybox and another natural and organic box for a little while.
Our first box arrived in the mail and I think I was more excited than the boys, at first. Once we opened the package, N and G’s eyes lit up. Included in this super cute folder was a map of the United States, a field guide, disposable camera and U.S. scratch book. The first thing the boys did was open up the map and pore over the different states. N opened the field guide and filled out his personal information and then began to answer some of the questions inside. We can’t wait to get the next box!
As part of my review of the company and products, Little Passports sent me the Explorer Kit for their World Edition. Enclosed in this first box was a super cute little piece of luggage with a letter from Sam and Sofia (the main characters), a photo of the two of them, a passport, world map, stickers, boarding pass and activity worksheet. Of course the boys fought over the passport (note to self – get another one!), but I soon convinced them to share and input both of their info.
Every month, you follow Sam and Sofia as they embark on a new country adventure. Country specific packages filled with fun souvenirs, letters, stickers, photos, activity sheets and more arrive every month thereafter.
Little Passports was created by two moms who wants their children to learn about the United States and the world but in a fun way. They also remembered how excited they were when they received mail, so what better way to deliver this fun concept?!
My boys were so into the map and loved the activity sheet that I ended signing them up for the year. This is also a great gift idea…my nephew is just like the boys with his love for maps and state capitals – what a perfect fit for him!
Even more exciting – Little Passports has allowed me to give away one of their kits! Enter below to win the first kit for the World Edition.
All of my opinions are 100% my own! Little Passports was kind enough to send me the World Edition kit to review and will be sending the winner of this giveaway their kit!
This giveaway is open to all US citizens and ends on March 10, 2013 at 11:59 PM EST. Good luck!!
