Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

One week and counting until Mother’s Day!  I have been pinning and dog-earring magazine pages, searching for the coolest Mother’s Day gift ideas.  Here are some gifts that I would personally love, and I think you may as well!  Hint: print out the pictures of the things you like and casually leave them on the countertop in the kitchen/bathroom or nonchalantly hang them on the fridge.  You never know…

Massages, manicures and pedicures are high on my list of favorite gifts to receive.  I rarely make time for myself, let alone an hour or so of pampering.  There is a spa near me – Sanda Gane – that has a wonderful Mother’s Day special.  For $149 your mom/wife/special lady will get an hour massage, an hour facial, an express mani and pedi – all infused with roses, and chocolates with champagne.  Now that is heavenly…call around to local spas and see what they are offering.

Shoes…although they may be hard to shop for unless you know correct size, always seem to be a welcome gift for women (I love them…).  Here are three that I like:

Beauty products are always fun to receive, as long as they come with a disclaimer stating, “You are naturally beautiful, and I thought you would like this to compliment your daily routine.” Capish?  Here are some that I recommend:

Looking for some ideas that will cost little or no money?  Create “coupons” or “certificates” for some of the following well-deserved things:

• One romantic home cooked dinner for two
• One girl’s day out – alone or with friends (translation: you hang out with the kids while Mom leaves the house and does something for herself…go to the beach, shopping, lunch with friends, etc.)
• One girl’s night out…same concept as above, just a different time of day
• One “Sleep in late” morning
