I needed a bit of a wardrobe refresh. What better timing than the arrival of my recently delivered Trendsend box!
TRENDSEND IN A NUTSHELL
In case you are new to Trendsend, it is a clothing subscription box that I have been receiving every other month for the past year or so. There is no styling fee, like other clothing subscription boxes, but you also do not get a discount should you choose to purchase all of the items.
Each box comes with a handful of curated outfits (Evereve clothing) chosen for me based on my previously answered style-related questions. Also included in the box is a note from my stylist, a pre-addressed postage-paid envelope for any returns, and an invoice (of course). Trendsend prices are competitive and the price ranges of the clothing chosen is also based on your answers to the survey.
TRENDSEND REVEAL TIME
I look forward to each Trendsend delivery because it’s like a gift delivered to my door especially for me. A gift that my husband does remind me on occasion, that I have to pay for.
The first tissue paper wrapped packet within the box contained 3 tops, 1 bottom, and an accessory.
The Articles of Society Heather high rise jeans caught my eye immediately as I have been looking for a pair of high-waisted jeans, and noted that in my last correspondence with my stylist. They are on sale for $47.19 as of the creation of this article!!!
The jeans were paired with three different tops – each perfect for the Florida summer heat.
The Allison Joy Sasha pleat tank had an interesting ikat print. It wasn’t form fitting (another note I jotted for the stylist). I liked the base color but was a bit iffy about the pattern itself.
The Sanctuary Wild Belle boho tank was super soft and flowy.
I am all about off the shoulder tops so the Sunday in Brooklyn zig zag was an immediate favorite. I could pair it with blue or black denim jeans or maybe even a denim shirt with a destructed bottom.
The Thirty-Nine 42 stone and chain layered necklace was something I could pair with any of the tops. At $28.00 it wasn’t badly priced, but I seem to have a problem of tangling up layered necklaces.
Burgundy has become a favorite color of mine, so I was immediately drawn to the Peyton Jensen modal choker tunic. It was super soft, but at $59.00 probably not the best buy. I’m torn because it also fit well – it wasn’t fitted and also the arm holes were perfect. (I have an issue with arm holes on sleeveless tops being too large.)
The stylist paired the choker tunic with a pair of camouflage Sanctuary pants. Camo and stripes are my two favorite prints. I loved that she thought I was a size 26 too.
Also in the second package was a lightweight Allison Joy Charlie open cardy. It’s perfect for the air-conditioned offices and restaurants. I loved the three-quarter sleeves and draped front…something that will go along with just about anything in my closet.
Which pieces would you recommend that I keep and which do you think I should send back?
I think I am good to go for the remainder of the summer. (Famous last words…) Check out my previous Trendsend package to get an idea of the variety that they send!
