Japan Here We Come (Via Little Passports That Is)

This past month the boys and I went to Japan!  Well, we didn’t actually GO to Japan, but we learned all about the country and had some fun doing it!

Of course the first thing the boys wanted to do was add the country stamp to their passport.  Once we were “officially” in Japan, my oldest read the letter from Sam and Sofia.  One of the first things that Sam mentions in his letter is that he loves sushi (maybe this love will wear off on the boys – my husband and I love sushi too!).

Once we pinned Japan on our huge map, we started the activity sheet.  Both boys love word searches, crossword puzzles, and the like, so I have them help each other on each activity.  Every country comes with a photo of Sam and Sofia and a super cute souvenir – this time?  A sushi eraser!  It is so cute!  Next it was on to the origami…that was fun, but my cat didn’t really look like a cat.  I think I need more practice.

The boys look forward to their monthly delivery and can’t wait to find out what country they are going to visit.  Even after we have completed all of the activities associated with the country, the boys go online and use their “Boarding Pass” to play more games and activities.  It’s never ending learning in such a fun way.

I catch the boys taking the map out of their luggage periodically, opening it on the dining room table, and checking out the countries.  It is hysterical to hear them try to pronounce some of the countries’ names.

I wonder what country we will visit next month!  I also receive (listen to me saying that I receive these packages, of course it is for the boys LOLOL) the United States version and am waiting to open that during this week.  I believe we are going to visit Rhode Island and Arizona 🙂
