I am always searching for ways to get rid of my muffin top. What’s so funny, is back in the day when my metabolism had nothing against me and was more like my BFF, I used to go to Dunkin Donuts almost every morning and get myself an iced coffee and muffin. I would only eat the muffin top…maybe it’s coming back to get me or something ??? I digress…(as usual)
I have heard this a number of times – stop thinking that crunches are going to get rid of your belly fat. It makes sense. Your abs are a small section of muscles in the whole scheme of your body’s muscles. It’s recommended that you do exercises that work multiple muscle groups – exercises like:
- Squats
- Planks
- Push-ups
- Bicycles and jackknives are great because they force you to lift your upper and lower body
Try to eat:
- Good fats like avocado and olive oil
- Foods with a source of soluble fiber (10 g of apples, for example)
- Foods cooked in coconut oil – I didn’t know that this oil has anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties AND is pro-thyroid – NICE!!
- Lemon – it reduces bloating
