I think a lot of moms can agree that looking your best while looking after the best interest of your kids can be quite difficult. You spend so much time caring for your children that you completely forget to work on who you are and what you look like. Does that sound about right? Well, if that’s the case then you need to think about the ways you can still look your best, even when living the life of a mom! To do this, I recommend a few pointers. They won’t take a lot of time or cost a fortune, but they will have you smiling when you see your reflection in the mirror. Let’s start by thinking about stress. Stress is perhaps your greatest enemy when you are trying to look good and feel great.
Coping With Stress And Combating It
To make sure that you always look your best, you need to know how to beat stress. But first, let’s think about how stress can impact how you look. Stress can stop you getting your beauty sleep leaving you with pasty skin, bags under the eyes and general wear and tear. It’s known that people who are stressed may develop wrinkles far more quickly – eek! You might see other physical signs of stress too. For instance, you could see your hair starting to fall out more regularly. Don’t panic if you’re losing a few strands of hair with your brush each morning because the average human sheds about one hundred hairs every day. It’s when it starts to come out in clumps that you should start to panic (0r rather see a doctor, because panicking will only make the situation worse).
Other physical effects of stress can be weight gain and fatigue. Due to stress, you might find that your body looks bloated. This can occur, even if you are eating a healthy diet of good food every day. You can still find that you’re carrying a lot more weight than you should be.
So, how do you stop these problems from becoming an issue? Well, you need to work on ways to beat back that stress. I think one of the key solutions to stress for parents could be yoga. You can complete a full yoga routine in just under half an hour. That means you should be able to fit it in, even if you do have a busy schedule.
Yoga helps you regulate your breathing and has even been shown to have the positive effect of healing the body. Or at least, helping the body heal far more quickly than usual. You can find some great yoga routines to follow online, buy a DVD or even take a class. It depends on how much time you want to spend on this particular activity.
If you’re wondering when the best time to complete a yoga routine would be I recommend early in the morning and just before you go to bed. That way, you can get the positive effect that you need and ensure you get a good night of sleep as well.
Stylish And Stunning
You’ll probably find that as you ease into the routine of being a parent, you spend less time buying stylish clothes for yourself. Your sense of style might go out of the window completely, and you may have no idea what the latest fashion is or where to get it from. Well, if that’s the case you’re in luck. It just so happens that I have a full section of my site dedicated to fashion! There are plenty of online resources, such as Pellerini, that specialize in keeping moms up with the latest awesome outfits from the best designers.
Maybe you don’t have time to head out to the mall to pick up a new wardrobe. You don’t technically have to, thanks to the world wide web! There are so many online retailers, like Madison Los Angeles for example, that sell designer clothing online. You can get the style you want without leaving your house.
I think a lot of moms worry that they aren’t dressing properly for their age. If you want to know what type of clothes fit your style and age, find a celeb that matches your body shape and your age so that you can see what type of outfits they wear. It’s usually the case that it’s nothing to do with age at all whether you can pull off an outfit. It’s more to do with whether you feel comfortable in it!
Yoga will help you keep fit and firm, but there are other techniques you can try too.
Staying Fit & Fabulous
It’s easy to let yourself go as a parent because you don’t have as much time to get fit. But usually, it’s the diet that’s the real problem. Once you start eating unhealthily on a regular basis, it’s pretty much game over. As well as this, you must remember that alcohol isn’t just bad for your liver. It’s also filled with calories. So if you want to make sure that you look your best you may want to cut alcohol out of your life in 2017. You’ll be amazed by how much weight you lose if you do this. As long as you don’t replace it with something else, that is!
We hope you see now that being a mom doesn’t have to mean losing your looks. You can still look great, no matter what.
