Ever since my husband and I went on our honeymoon to Italy, I have loved wine. On our 10th anniversary we decided to relive our honeymoon stateside and went to California to visit Napa and learn (and appreciate) as much as we can about wine. We learned to let the wine “breathe” – once uncorked, let the wine air out for a bit before pouring. Also, we have noticed when you decanter a bottle of red wine, it does help to bring out the flavor of the wine. The glass you drink it from also makes a difference! At first I thought my husband was going a bit loco when he told me this, but when I drank a glass of pinot noir from a “proper” pinot noir glass, it did change the flavor a bit – and for the better…crazy but true!
Below is a great infographic depicting the proper way to taste wine.

I’ve always wanted to learn how to properly drink wine and actually enjoy it. I do like sweet reisling but I know there are much better wines out there. I need to try and drink a good wine properly and see if I can enjoy it. Pinned!!!! I also want to go to a winery one day too…. #SITSBlogging love 🙂

Debbie, check with some of the liquor stores in your area – they may host wine tastings and classes. That is another great way to learn! Thank you for stopping by!
