Article after article touts that a blogger should focus on one particular niche when writing posts.
I just can’t do that.
I like to write about travel, especially the cool things we do as a family! Sharing tips on what to pack, where to eat, what to see is a highlight of my vacation.
I enjoy writing about fashion and beauty – I secretly shop and write at the same time. Trying out the latest facial, shampoo, or line of makeup for the good of my readers is something I look forward too!
Writing about motherhood and parenting, in general, is very therapeutic to me. I like to share my trials and tribulations in hopes of letting you all know that you’re not alone.
The particular stage in my kids’ lives strongly determines the latest topic I’m researching, and when I find something I feel would be useful, I am already formulating the blog post in my mind even before opening my laptop.
THE NEW ANGLE
2019 has become the year of change. I haven’t dubbed “Change” as my word for the year, but it is definitely the starting hitter.
This new angle sparked from the other night. My oldest son was running a fever and we didn’t have any children’s Tylenol left. All we had was the capsules. That meant he had to swallow them, like an adult. Which he did with no problem – I was the one that was taken back.
Something as insignificant as my son being able to take adult medication in lieu of the liquid version opened my eyes. My boys aren’t little anymore. They are growing and thriving and I need to get with the times!
I need to start sharing my experiences with the boys as the super cool teens that they are. Life as a mama bear to these two thriving young men (without embarrassing them, of course!).
I am recruiting a co-writer to share her invaluable experience and knowledge. Introductions to follow…(I can’t wait!)
Of course, I will continue to share my travel, fashion, and beauty – most definitely! If there is anything else you’d like me to delve in to, I am all ears.
I wish you the best of everything in 2019 – and can’t wait to share the change! XO

Exciting changes ahead!! It’s funny how a little moment can signify a bigger change in life.
I too can’t stick to one niche. My blog is more than one topic and I try to encompass it all under a larger umbrella, but your post resonated with me in that way.

I agree…amazing how one somewhat insignificant thing can spark a realization – and change!

I think that’s always been my biggest issues – stocking to one niche. There are so many things I like to talk about and share and hopefully, with my new blog and design I can accomplish that. Happy New Year!
