Fall has been here for a little while, although where I live you could never tell the difference. The Florida weather took a lot of getting used to.
Back in the Day
I grew up with four seasons which equated to changing out my closet four times a year. These multi-hour events would start with dumping everything on to my bed that is currently hanging in my closet and in the drawers. I’d go through and make sure nothing had a random stain, hole or was too small (if the item checked off any of those boxes, it would go in the garbage or donation if it was in good shape).
Then, I’d fold up the newly out-of-season clothes and put them away, making room for the current season’s wares. This was also a good time to see if I needed to stock up on any staples – t-shirts, tank tops, jeans, etc.
Present Day
Now, instead of changing out my closet each season since we technically don’t have four distinct seasons, I do a quicker scan of my closets and drawers and then plan to shop for the current season’s trends.
Apricot Lane Fall Fashion Trends
After doing some research (translation: reading fashion magazines, blogs and perusing many stores), I’ve determined which Fall fashion trends I am going to incorporate into my wardrobe. I headed over to Apricot Lane in Delray Beach, ready to shop! My wish list:
- Cold shoulder top(s)
- Romper
- Date night outfit
- Accessories
I found just about everything I was looking for (and a bit more…).
I loved this navy blue lace top and would totally pair it with skinny jeans – either blue denim or white. Those sleeves are swoon-worthy.
I can’t even begin to tell you how comfortable this outfit is. The pants are adorable AND since I am a bit on the vertically challenged side, I was super excited to find out that I can easily hem them myself (all I have to do is cut the bottoms). I love that the top is flowy and can see it paired with so many different things in my closet.
The top below is the same as the one above, just in a different color. I totally have a thing for the pom pom trend and these shorts fit the bill perfectly. Yet another comfortable outfit I can wear for date night or casual.
Cold shoulder time! The combination of lace, cold shoulder and lace-up neck checked a few boxes off my list! I liked pairing it with the ripped jeans – a contrast between sweet lace and destructed denim. Love it!
There were so much more that I wanted to try on – I will definitely be making a trip back soon. They are constantly getting in new styles, almost on a daily basis! I’ve heard that if you see something you like, you should probably indulge at that time.
Rompers are a favorite because it’s a one-piece outfit. All you need to do is add some accessories and a cute pair of shoes.
