Coffee Was Made For Monday Mornings

Mondays and coffee are like two peas in a pod.  After a (hopefully) fulfilled weekend, nothing helps Mondays get off to a better than usual start than a great cup of coffee!

Back in my college days I worked at a small coffee shop in the local mall.  (It used to be in the current location of Williams Sonoma – a lot has changed.)  At the time I didn’t care for coffee  I smelled like it after my shift – between serving lattes and grinding coffee for the next morning’s brew it emanated from my clothing and hair.  After a year or so working there, I broke down and tried an iced cafe mocha – it was DELISH.  Of course it was – it was a combination of Irish Cream flavored coffee, half and half, heavy whipping cream and an insane amount of chocolate syrup.

Nowadays I love me some Starbucks iced coffee – tall, with soy and one Sweet N Low.  At home, we make the coffee and then chill it in the fridge. I doctor it up with almond milk and one Splenda and my day can begin.  Below is a cool infographic on how to make different coffee drinks.
