Fashion Find: The Classic White Button Down

There are a handful of items I consider standard in everyone’s closet – one being the classic white button down.

Wardrobe staples for both men and women are somewhat the same.  Key pieces include:

• A great pair of denim jeans
• Sturdy white t-shirts
• Comfortable not-to-structured black blazer
• Black slacks (my favorite are skinny, ankle length)
• Little black dress
• White button down tops

THE CLASSIC WHITE BUTTON DOWN

I cannot remember a period in my life when I didn’t have a white button down hanging in my closet.  As a child it was more structured (and probably somewhat annoying) as it was a part of a formal outfit of some sort.

As I got older, the button down became more relaxed, as did my attitude toward it.

Now, the classic white button down has become a mainstay for me.  I love wearing it with a pair of skinny jeans, destressed denim (pants or shorts depending on the temperature outside).

What I find super cool is that you can find a button down in almost any clothing store and at any price point.  One of my favorite one was only $12.96 from WalMart.
