Don’t think for one minute that I am slacking on my workouts! (The reason I say that is because I usually am!) Nope, not this time! I am tracking my weight (secretly) too.
The Sunday my friend was in town and we went to a fabulous resort for the weekend – I worked out. I dragged her into it too! I remember her complaining that she was a bit in pain the next day LOL.
Last Monday – elliptical for 25 minutes.
Last Wednesday – circuits with Max…and guess what? I did not complain and whine as much as I used to! I think I may be getting stronger…just a bit.
Last Friday – elliptical 20 minutes!
This past Saturday – a special circuit. First, I warmed up (jumping jacks, leg lifts, and crunches). Then I had to see how many of each of the following exercises I could do in one minute. (one at a time of course!)
- Mountain Climbers
- Jumping Jacks
- Squats
- Push ups
- Burpees
- Jumping Jacks
I was super impressed with what I could actually do! I am going to post my numbers and do this “challenge” each week to see how I progress!
Today – off to the gym. I was initially planning on doing the elliptical for 30 minutes, but when I told Max that, I was delivered a yellow piece of paper with what I was REALLY going to do at the gym. Oh well, guess I am not going to catch up on Jane By Design like I thought I would.
My routine:
- Warm up – 30 jumping jacks, 20 crunches, 10 leg raises (2x)
- 30 mountain climbers, 20 squats, 10 push ups (2x)
- 30 jumping jacks, 20 lunges, 10 burpees (2x) – the burpees killed me. I only did 7 the first time and ditched them the second time around.
- 15 leg raises, 15 crunches, 20 curl/press, 30 jumping jacks (2x)
- 7 minutes elliptical
I felt super energized on the elliptical and then died down slowly. Whew…what is your favorite workout?

I always wanted to know what a burpee was/is…
