My sons’ school does not normally allow sugary foods in the classroom. I love that concept (although feel slightly bad for the kids in a way – birthdays are celebrated with carrot sticks instead of cupcakes). As you saw yesterday, I tried to make the valentine’s day cards for their pals sugar-free and fun!
I didn’t know what to make for the teachers…so off I went to Pinterest. This is what I came up with for the boys’ teacher Valentine’s Day gift!
Disregard my terrible attempt to protect the innocent (erase his teacher’s name from the top). All I had to do was print up this cute card and attach it to a bag of goldfish crackers! Viola!

Cute idea. I would love for our school to not allow sugary stuff! Very progressive.

Their school is LEEDS certified and throughout the school there are plaques that explain what building materials were used and how they save water, energy, etc. It’s pretty cool!

As a former teacher I’d just like to say it’s nice to get a gift other than candy from the students! Great idea!

Thanks Clarissa!!

this is so oooooo adorable! how did you print the fishbowl different colors? Did you just google images of fishbowls and printed it in color?
I wasn’t going to do a valentine for my son’s teacher, but I feel like I might be the only one! So, I just might try to do this in the morning before his vday party at school!
How clever pinterest peeps are, but the truly awesome peeps are the ones that follow through and make the pins they pin!!

This is an adorable idea! And as another comment noted, a great alternative to candy too!

Thank you!!! I have to say Pinterest is to thank! I try as best I can to not give out sugary treats for holidays and goodie bags.

What a great, simple idea! I have to admit, I usually completely forget about the teacher on Valentine’s Day until I see that lame extra ‘teacher’ card in the box with the valentines for my kids classmates. Thanks for sharing this idea
