I met Tela, the amazing woman you are going to read about below while working together – years ago. Like pre-kids, pre-marriage…YEARS ago. We quickly became friends and the rest is history.
TELA, THE MAMA
We were pregnant with our first kids together – so much fun! She was pregnant with her first girl and me with my first boy.
Fast forward 6 kids (total) later, and a state or two between us, we’ve continued our friendship long distance.
TELA, THE AUTHOR
My first introduction to Tela’s writing was with her blog, Babyminding. (She was the first person I knew to become a blogger!) Babyminding is focused on natural and organic parenting advice. The very first blog post I’ve ever written was on Babyminding!
Tela recently authored LaLa Feels Blah-La, the first in the LaLa’s World Series.
When asked what the inspiration was behind her first book, she stated that it was her second daughter. Ever since she was a baby, she couldn’t self-soothe. “Little things” to others would occasionally bother her and she wouldn’t know how to express herself without getting frustrated.
LALA FEELS BLAH-LA
In this children’s book, a young girl and her stuffed bear wake up feeling blah for no apparent reason. LaLa’s mom teaches her to be mindful of her feelings and turn her mood around with the flip of a coin. Perfect for young readers, LaLa Feels Blah-La, teaches children to be more mindful of their feelings and manage their mood swings.

A mom to four gorgeous girls, Tela has always loved to read (her mom was a local librarian). She noticed that only a few stories impart spiritual wisdom. Her intention is to write in the same vein as Dr. Wayne Dyer’s children’s books and bestsellers “Incredible You!” and “Unstoppable Me!” that will help children better understand how their beliefs manifest their realities so they can grow up to be the change they wish to see in the world.
LaLa Feels Blah-La is a great holiday gift for any child! You can purchase a copy on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
Pre-sales for the second book in the LaLa series will go on pre-sale this month!
