Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween All!

Halloween is a fun holiday for my boys because they love dressing up (they do it all year round with old costumes, etc.) and they love candy!  My boys are super excited to go trick or treating tonight.

I used to make little goodie bags for both of my sons’ classmates, year after year.  Besides the fact that the boys would come home with 10 goodie bags from their other classmates, I used to beat myself up looking for “cool” contents for the goodie bags.  Working full time and keeping up with the boys is a lot within itself.  Then came Pinterest – YAY!  I found this GREAT craft idea for the boys’ classmates…no goodie bags for me this year.  I initially posted this idea a month or so back and went shopping right away for all supplies needed.

Fast forward to October 30th at 6:45 pm.  Yep, that’s me sitting at the dining room table (mind you – in the dark with a candle – – G was eating a cheeseburger again, how did you know??) measuring and cutting the perfect-sized rectangles for the googly eyes to attach to, while my loving husband is cutting 36 strands of crepe paper based on the dimensions I had previously determined would be the best coverage.

Here is the finished product.  I have to say I am somewhat proud of myself!  Oh, did I mention that after G finished his cheeseburger, we also did his homework from Monday and tonight’s and all 36 mummies are intact?  That is multi-tasking, I have to say!!
