I took the day off to unwind from the excitement and craziness that the holiday season brings. With family in town, hosting an intimate Christmas Eve dinner, then a holiday party for over 20 people the next day, things can get a bit stressful – in a good way, of course.
This morning we decided to take Sadie to the dog beach for the first time. (Every weekday morning, barring rain, my husband takes Sadie to the dog park – she runs rampant with her other four-legged friends while he gets in a 3 mile walk. Must be nice.) Since I was home, I wanted to be a part of the fun and thought it was about time Sadie met the sand.
Getting Sadie ready for some fun in the sun!
What a beach babe! Sadie LOVED the freedom to run…and thankfully also the sun!
The wet sand was a bit of a different feel for Sadie, but she got used to it.
At first I thought, “Oh, look at this beautiful blue thing. What is it?”. Then I realized what it was, and that there were a lot more washed up on shore. We moved a bit more inland after this discovery.
Here I am with my beautiful, and tired, lady! We are definitely going to add the beach to the places we can go with Sadie. Maybe when the jellyfish go away, we’ll bring her into the water!
