MY REVIEW! I read this book and was tearing up by page 13. I never really thought about where Sadie would go, g-d forbid something happened to us. Sadie is my daughter…she listens to me sing (terribly), ramble on about the happenings of the day, complain about whatever…she is my furry shoulder to lean on. This book doesn’t leave any stone unturned when it comes to what you need to prepare. The illustrations are nice, calming. It’s sad to think about it…but your dog can’t tell you his or her “story” as the authors state. This book makes it easier to jot down all of the necessities. You can tell that the authors are wonderful dog lovers…to me, those make the best people.
I heard that there is a cat version coming out soon!

Joe and Cathy Connolly have spent a lifetime owning, training and caring for dogs. Cathy grew up with a Collie breeder, dog groomer and dog handler while attending many different dog shows and eventually went on to work with other breeders as she grew older. They live in beautiful Northern Michigan with their 3 furry four legged children, one large dog, one small dog and the entire family is supervised by one bossy calico cat.
