Sunday – daylight savings (yay!) started with buttermilk biscuits filled with eggs, cheese, and turkey bacon. For the remainder of the day, we strolled around Walnut Street, shopping and people watching. I am a big fan of Anthropologie and couldn’t believe how beautiful the store was – it was in an old building, with gorgeous spiral staircases and a stained-glass dome ceiling.
After that, it was back to the grind. I picked up my rental car and off I was – to get ready for work the next day. The air has that “Fall” scent to it, it’s a bit brisk outside, and the leaves are changing colors.
Once I checked into my room, I walked around the small town for a bit and spotted a nail salon – and I needed a manicure badly! The place was called Blooming Nails…don’t you love it?
Dinner was delicious – traditional Chinese at Margaret Kuo’s. This was the first time I had ever eaten alone in a restaurant. Every time I see someone eating alone, I want to invite them to my table. It was quite peaceful. I read some of my books and checked my email.
Back at the hotel, I grabbed the best seat in the house – by the fireplace – and read a magazine until it was time to Facetime with my family. What a wonderful end to a GREAT weekend!
